Dem Wegweiser Richtung Melkalpe folgen. Auf Wanderweg hinauf bis dieser auf einen Forstweg trifft. Dann rechts auf Forstweg und geradeaus, bis dieser am Schluchtrand eine Kehre macht. Hier weglos am Schluchtrand hinauf bis man wieder auf einen Wanderweg trifft. Nun rechts auf den Wanderweg bis dieser den Bach quert. Hier Einstieg.
Alternativ kann man den Gehrebach auch vom Canyonende des Widdereggbachs anlaufen, siehe dortige Beschreibung.
Follow the signpost in the direction of Melkalpe. Follow the hiking trail uphill until it meets a forest road. Then turn right onto the forest road and continue straight ahead until it makes a haipin bends at the canyon rim. Follow the canyon rim uphill until you meet a hiking trail again. Now turn right onto the hiking trail until it crosses the stream. Here is the entry.
