Coming from Lleida, we take the C-13 through Balaguer and Tremp to Pobla de Segur (97.8 km). We go up to the right into the town and continue on the N-260 towards Sort. 6.8 km after Pobla de Segur (town center) we come to a tunnel. On the old road outside the tunnel would be the ideal parking place, but the access here is closed to motor vehicles. Also directly at the access to the old road one can park badly. So we have in our last visits this tunnel still crossed and then parked the car 2 km further before the next tunnel access (more space).

We walk back on the road in a southerly direction, take the old road on the left at the tunnel entrance and continue on this road for another 450m. We see the rope spanning the river for the return transport, then the inconspicuous canyon exit and finally come to another rope that has spanned the canyon since around 2009. In the past, you were required to swim across the Rio Noguera Pallaresa on access, and even earlier you had to swim on the way back. So first you crossed the river using a steel cable and pulley(s). On the other side, up the slope, we come to a slope, which we then follow to the left to the entry point.

First running sections, with a 9m rappel in between. Then in a beam (also possible outside) 20m down into the underworld. Continue under a roof of rocks. Further rappels, slides and possible jumps.

Retour (15 min): traduction alternative ➜

Not out to the river, but first up to the right and then beyond the ridge to the steel cable for the return transport across the river.
