Résumé:
Kremastos is a must-do highlight canyon of Samothraki. A vertical multi-stage abseil down a waterfall directly into the sea, with a boat-ride there and back. To tackle this route you need to be trained and have a good knowledge of the techniques to be used on big high verticals. The topo may not be accurate. The best advice is to have a 60m or longer rope per person, and work it out as you go. It is advantageous to have a phone that can make phone calls from Turkey to Greece (see "Return" below).

Accès:
First organise the boat: contact Nicholas ‭+30 698 4508105‬ (English, no WhatsApp known) to check that he is running the boat. Arrange departure from the beach, and an approximate pickup time. Drive the car to Pachía Ammos beach. Park at the western end at Nicholas's beach place. Proceed in Nicholas's boat to the drop-off point. Nicholas will show you where to climb up from the drop-off.
Approche (2 h):
Follow the GPX from Ropewiki https://ropewiki.com/Kremastos to the canyon.
Tour (3 h):
Follow the topo. Some parts of the canyon have bolts both sides. Note that at times the topo is hard to follow.
Retour (20 min):
Just before the last abseil into the sea there is a bolt traverse canyon right, which may have a handline rigged. Climb the traverse and up a bit to get phone signal. Turkey may have better signal. Call Nicholas, agree a pickup time. Time the last abseil so most of the party are down just before Nicholas arrives. There is a ledge to wait on about 2-3m above the sea. When Nicholas arrives, go to the left of the ledge, jump in and swim to the boat.
