Von Castellane (am Verdon, an der Route Napoleon) auf der D 952 über La Palud-sur-Verdon nach Moustiers-Sainte-Marie (etwa 45 km). Im Ort zum obersten, zahlungspflichtigen Parkplatz fahren.
EInstiegsparkplatz: Wieder zurück in den Ort und zur D952 in Richtung Riez. Nach zwei Kehren zweigt rechts eine Straße in Richtung Venascle ab. Der schmalen Aspahltstraße 10km bis zum Venascle-Campingplatz folgen, dann bald auf Sandstraße in Richtung Ravin de Burrillon fahren. Nach der Brücke über den meist trockenen Bach Parkmöglichkeiten.

From Castellane (on the Verdon, on the Route Napoleon) on the D 952 via La Palud-sur-Verdon to Moustiers-Sainte-Marie (approx. 45 km). In the village, drive to the uppermost paid parking lot.
Parking entry: Return to the village and take the D952 towards Riez. After two hairpin bends, a road branches off to the right towards Venascle. Follow the narrow asphalt road for 10km to the Venascle campsite, then soon take the sand road towards Ravin de Burrillon. Parking is available after the bridge over the mostly dry stream.

Alternativ kann man auch in ca. 1.5h vom unteren Parkplatz über die Voie Romaine zum oberen Parkplatz aufstiegen. Siehe Photo 2.

Zu Beginn Bachwanderung, dann relativ offener Canyon mit einer Reihe einfacher Abseiler. Bei ausreichenden Wasserdurchfluß gibt es einige Sprungmöglichkeiten. Becken sind aber oft seichter als erwartet. Dann "La Poire" ein unterirdischer Saal, die attraktivste Passage. Nach einigen weiteren Abseilern öffnet sich die Schlucht und ergiebige Karstquellen lassen die Valonge zum Bach werden.
At the beginning river walk, then relatively open canyon with a series of easy rappels. With sufficient water flow there are some possible jumps. However, the pools are often shallower than expected. Then "La Poire" an underground hall, the most attractive passage. After a few more rappels, the canyon opens up and productive karst springs turn the Valonge into a stream.

Wo von rechts der Trockencanyon Venascle einmündet, unten den Venascle queren, den Gegenhang in nördlicher Richtung steil hoch und dann auf einem nicht immer deutlich erkennbaren Pfad zurück nach Moustier (vgl. Foto 1 - violett oder Foto 2 - rot gestrichelt. Der Weg ist gut mit Farbpunkten markiert und wo notwendig mit Seilen gesichert.
Der ursprüngliche Weg weiter am Bach entlang abwärts (so bei Cicarudeclan grün eingezeichnet) ist jetzt untersagt.
Where the Venascle dry canyon joins from the right, cross the Venascle at the bottom, climb steeply up the opposite slope in a northerly direction and then return to Moustier on a path that is not always clearly visible (see photo 1 - purple or photo 2 - dashed red). The path is well marked with colored dots and secured with ropes where necessary.
The original path further down along the stream (marked in green at Cicarudeclan) is now prohibited.

Approche de 5,6km et 300 de D+. On a mis 1h20 sans se presser. C’est très beau et le descriptif est parfait, on se repère facilement sur Iphigénie. Le canyon est en eau, ça coule et les vasques sont translucides. Équipement RAS, on descend dans l’actif de bon cœur. Les sauts passent. L’eau est très froide ! On a mis 2h30 à descendre, en passant devant un groupe de 6 hyper sympa qui nous ont prêté leur corde pour les dépasser, merci ! (On était deux autonomes). On est sorties au niveau de la confluence comme indiqué. On a pas vu de panneau mais il y a un sentier RG, marqué en rouge et plutôt évident. On a mis 30min à revenir à la voiture.

Good water flow from top to bottom. Transparent water and white rock make the tour a feast for the eyes. There are also a few jumps, very rewarding in these conditions.

Fait en 4h avec deux enfants de 19ans. Première partie sèche sous un soleil brûlant. On s’est fait piégé dans la baume aux pigeons vasque croupie avec deux pigeons morts en voulant éviter le grand rappel. Celui reste au rappel est remonté au grand rappel a placé une corde pour qu’on puisse remonter sur corde jusqu’au relais intermédiaire. Puis l’eau arrive des résurgences donc bien fraîche et très belle. Sauts toboggans et grotte de tuf ont régales parents et enfants. Belle journee

Les 2 premiers rappels sont sec. Ensuite tous les sauts possibles se font sans problème dans une belle eau turquoise. Ça coulotte par endroit à partir du premier tiers et la poire coule légèrement ! Débit parfait, eau froide mais limpide. Une souris n'aurait pas été de trop. C'est le moment d'en profiter. Je pense que les derniers débits signalés sont ceux de l'arrivée commune avec Vénascle. Ils ne sont pas révélateurs du débit dans Angouire puisqu'il y a plusieurs résurgences importantes sur la fin de canyon.Pour vous rendre compte du débit, j'ai publié quelques photos.
