You need to look for the Almadenes Canyon power station in Cieza, Murcia. We park where the tarmac ends, where there is a parking area.

We leave the power station on our right and continue along the fence until we come to a well-trodden path marked by footprints and Itos. GR127 – which climbs gently up to the ridge. Once there, we descend, reach the riverbed and come to the first abseil point.

The route follows the riverbed until it reaches a metal bridge, from which we’ll exit via a flight of stone steps. Alternatively, we can continue 100 metres further downstream and exit via the spring known as the ‘borbotón’.
