In Almunecar von der N 340 ab und auf der SO 2 nordwärts über Jete und Otivar, vorbei an der Abzweigung der Straße nach Lenteji bis zur Straßenbrücke (über den Lenteji) in einer Linkskurve (14 km ab Almunecar). Hier das erste Fahrzeug abstellen.
Mit dem zweiten Auto zurück in Richtung Otivar und nach Lentegí abbiegen. Kurz vor Erreichen der Ortschaft (630 m ü.NN) auf eine befestigte Straße rechts abbiegen (Schilder 'Piscina' und 'polideportivo'), die zuerst weit nach Süden ausholend hinauf zum Schwimmbad und dem oberen neuen Ortsteil von Lenteji führt. So kann man die enge und steile Ortsdurchfahrt vermeiden. Nach Durchfahren des Neubauviertels auf der 'Calle Nueva' endet der Teerbelag, linkerhand steht ein Haus mit der Aufschrift "El Secanillo" und die Straße wird zur Betonpiste. Auf dieser Piste weiter. Nach 2,5 km -inzwischen fehlt der Betonbelag - findet man in einer Linkskurve rechterhand eine gute Parkmöglichkeit. Links steht ein beiges Haus auf einem Hügel, unterhalb des Hauses schießt Wasser aus einem Bewässerungskanal, gespeist von der nahen Guadajama-Quelle.
In Almunecar, leave the N 340 and head north on the SO 2 via Jete and Otivar, past the junction of the road to Lenteji to the road bridge (over the Lenteji) in a left-hand bend (14 km from Almunecar). Park the first car here.
Take the second car back in the direction of Otivar and turn off towards Lentegí. Shortly before reaching the village (630 m above sea level), turn right onto a paved road (signs 'Piscina' and 'polideportivo'), which initially leads far to the south up to the swimming pool and the upper new district of Lenteji. This allows you to avoid the narrow and steep road through the village. After driving through the new development on Calle Nueva, the tarred road exits, there is a house on the left with the sign "El Secanillo" and the road becomes a concrete track. Continue on this road. After 2.5 km - there is no concrete surface in between - you will find a good parking area on the righthand side in a left-hand bend. On the left is a beige house on a hill, below the house water shoots out of an irrigation canal fed by the nearby Guadajama spring.

Neben dem Parkplatz erkennt man ein schmales trockenes Bachbett. Bachabwärts zuerst an der linken Seite dieses Bachbetts entlang, dann rechts oberhalb weiter durch die Obstbaumfelder und nach ca. 4-5 Minuten in das Bachbett absteigen, wo sich eine gute Gelegenheit dafür erkennen lässt, notfalls vom Baum über Gestrüpp abseilen.

Nach der Einmündung des Barranco Las Palomas von rechts erscheinen die ersten Quellen und der Bach ist ab da wasserführend.Der Guadajana ist praktisch nur als Alternativzustieg für den unteren Teil des Lenteji tauglich (vgl. dortige Beschreibung). Deshalb 2x30m Seil.
After the confluence of the Barranco Las Palomas from the right, the first springs appear and the stream is water-bearing from then on.the Guadajana is practically only suitable as an alternative approach for the lower part of the Lenteji (see description there). Therefore 2x30m ropes.

Da man sinnvollerweise im zuerst im Palomas, später im Canón del Lentegi weitergeht (2,5 Std.), erfolgt der Ausstieg aus diesem (vgl. dort).
Es besteht aber offenbar auch die Möglichkeit, am/vor Zusammenfluß mit dem Lenteji wieder aufzusteigen zur Anfahrtspiste, siehe https://www.docuwiki.infobarrancos.es/lib/exe/detail.php?id=barrancos%3Agranada%3Aguadajana&media=barrancos:granada:guadajanas_acceso.jpg und Text. In diesem Fall genügt 1x30m Seil.
As it makes sense to continue first in the Palomas, later in the Canón del Lentegi (2.5 hours), the exit is from this (see there).

In this case 1x30m of ropes is sufficient.
