Über den Predilpass auf slowenischer Seite hinunter Richtung Bovec. 5,5km nach Log Pod Mangartom erreicht man das Fort Kluze. Man parkt bequem vor der Brücke.

Over the Predil Pass on the Slovenian side down towards Bovec. 5.5 km after Log Pod Mangartom you reach Fort Kluze. It is easy to park in front of the bridge.

Der Zustieg erfolgt an der orographisch rechten Flussseite, bei der Kaverne. Ein unscheinbarer Pfad führt dort steil in die Schlucht hinab. Zuletzt alte, desolate Drahtseilsicherungen.Man kann die Klamm auch von ganz oben gehen: Am Wanderweg Richtung Fort Hermann durch den Tunnel und bei der bald danach folgenden Abzweigung nach rechts. Beim nächsten Wegweiser dann rechts auf eine etwas verwachsene Wegtrasse abzweigen die direkt zum Klammbeginn führt (hier war früher offenbar eine Brücke).

Access is on the orographic right-hand side of the river, at the cavern. An inconspicuous path leads steeply down into the canyon. At the end there are old, desolate wire rope belays and you can also walk the gorge from the top: Follow the hiking trail towards Fort Hermann through the tunnel and turn right at the junction soon after. At the next signpost, turn right onto a somewhat overgrown path that leads directly to the start of the gorge (there used to be a bridge here).

Starke Strömung und turbulente Becken wechseln sich in dieser tief eingeschnittenen, überwältigenden Schlucht ab. Man sollte schon etwas Wildwasser-Erfahrung mitbringen und die Strömung richtig lesen können. Das Becken vor der Verklausung birgt potenzielle Gefahr in sich. Den 6m Wasserfall am Schluchtenausgang seilt man besser nicht ab.Viel sicherer ist ein weiter, kontrollierter Sprung.

Strong currents and turbulent pools alternate in this deep, overwhelming canyon. You should have some whitewater experience and be able to read the current correctly. The pool in front of the jam is potentially dangerous. It is better not to rappel down the 6m waterfall at the exit of the gorge; a long, controlled jump is much safer.

Am Ende der Klamm führt an der orographisch rechten Seite ein Steig wieder hinauf zum Fort Kluze.
