Drive from Bormio in the direction of the Stelvio Pass. After a few tunnels, leave a car in the parking lot on the left before a small bridge. Due to the heavy traffic, a shuttle with a second car is recommended. Continue for 10 hairpin bends until you come to another large gravel parking place on the left.

From the parking lot, an initially steep hiking trail begins opposite, which you follow in a south-easterly direction. At a junction, take the left-hand variant until you reach a small lake (Lago del Mot). After approx. 200m, turn right into the streambed, where you can clearly see the entry to the first part of the canyon.

Several very narrow, dark gulches with numerous rock arches separated by more open parts where you can easily get out. This is followed by a longer walk and downclimb with some water. In the final part, which is no longer so narrowly cut, there are about 10 more rappels.

Early start because there was a lot of water at the exit yesterday and I was alone. The access path has disappeared at the start, work is currently being carried out on the rockfall protection. It's best to go straight up to the second terrace and then turn right until you can cross over the embankment onto the hiking trail. Very nice access and everything in the gorge itself was superiore. Clear running water from top to bottom and all anchors OK, even if you sometimes have to search a bit. Water was still clear at 10:30 at the exit. Water level on the verge of "crazy". The problem is not the water flow, but the "hail of stones" on some rappels. See photo. A maillon is missing... Anchors very well positioned throughout, even for a lot of water

All hooks are not redundant (express anchor + rings), but well placed without edges. A few small abseiling places. The weather can change very quickly due to the alpine location, with us it has briefly started to snow sleet, half an hour later it was sunny again.
