Von Figueres an der Autobahn Perpgnan - Barcelona nehmen wir die N 260 in westlicher Richtung und erreichen nach rund 22,5 km passieren wir die sehenswerte Stadt Besalu und fahren auf der A-26 noch 10,5 km weiter. Dann - Ausfahrt Nr. "75", "Montagut" - biegen wir rechts ab auf die GIV-5233. Wir fahren nach 2 km durch die Ortschaft Montagut und biegen am Ortsende links ab auf die GIV-5231 in Richtung Sadernes. 2 km weiter passieren wir die Einfahrt zu dem komfortablen Campingplatz Montagut und nach weiteren 3,8 km kommen wir in den Weiler Sadernes (ebenfalls mit Campingmöglichkeit).
Eine Weiterfahrt von hier ist nicht mehr gestattet. Also laufen wir (auch Fahrrad möglich) auf einer Piste, die zunächst in westlicher , dann in nördlicher Richtung am kleinen Fluss entlang aufwärts zieht. 2,7 km nach Sadernes kommen wir zu einer Verzweigung.
From Figueres on the Perpgnan - Barcelona highway, we take the N 260 in a westerly direction and after around 22.5 km we pass the interesting town of Besalu and continue on the A-26 for another 10.5 km. Then - exit no. "75", "Montagut" - we turn right onto the GIV-5233. After 2 km we drive through the village of Montagut and turn left at the end of the village onto the GIV-5231 in the direction of Sadernes. 2 km further on we pass the entrance to the comfortable Montagut campsite and after another 3.8 km we come to the hamlet of Sadernes (also with camping facilities).
It is no longer permitted to continue from here. So we walk (also possible by bike) on a dirt road that first heads west and then north uphill along the small river. 2.7 km after Sadernes we come to a junction.

Wir gehen zunächst wenige Schritte zur Verzweigung zurück und nehmen dann denForstweg, der hinab zum Bachbett der Riera de Sant Aniol führt. Wir folgen dem Weg, queren den Bach und erreichen nach 1,6 km ab Auto eine große Wiese. Hier knickt der Weg links weg vom Bach. Wir folgen den Bach jedoch weiter und kommen nach etwa 160 m zu einer kleinen Staustufe. Hier entweder auf deren Krone oder etwas unterhalb an's jenseitige Ufer.
Auf einem Steig nun im Tal weiter nach Norden. Im weiteren Verlauf des Weges kreuzen wir dreimal den Bach und kommen schließlich zum ehemaligen Kloster St. Aniol d'Aguja. Weiter geht es in nordöstlicher Richtung, zunächst erneut über die Riera de Sant Aniol, dann den jenseitigen Hang auf deutlichem Weg bergauf. Auf einer Hangkuppe - Coll de Clarioles, ca. 555m üNN - verzweigt sich der Steig. Links würde es zum Einstieg des St. Aniol gehen, wir aber gehen rechts, lassen später einen Steig links hinauf unbeachtet und kommen zur Quellfassung Font de Sant. Weiter folgen wir dem Steig, bis er rechts in's Bachbett des Canals führt (Einstieg).
We first walk a few steps back to the fork and then take the forest path that leads down to the streambed of the Riera de Sant Aniol. We follow the path, cross the stream and after 1.6 km from the car we reach a large meadow. Here the path bends to the left away from the stream. However, we continue to follow the stream and after about 160 m we come to a small barrage. Here, either on its crest or slightly below on the opposite bank.
Continue north along a path in the valley. As the path continues, we cross the stream three times and finally reach the former monastery of St. Aniol d'Aguja. Continue in a north-easterly direction, first crossing the Riera de Sant Aniol again, then up the slope on the other side on a clear path. On a hilltop - Coll de Clarioles, approx. 555m above sea level - the path branches off. To the left would be the entry to St. Aniol, but we go to the right, ignoring a path to the left later on and arriving at the Font de Sant spring. Continue along the path until it leads to the right into the streambed of the canal (entry).

Abwechslungsreicher und vergnüglicher Abstieg, bis ein Schild den Ausstieg aus dem Canyon weist - "Cami de Sortida". Wenn hier noch Wasserdurchsatz vorhanden ist, empfiehlt sich ein weiterer Abstieg bis zur Karstquelle, wo der Bach verflacht.
Varied and enjoyable descent until a signs indicates the exit from the canyon - "Cami de Sortida". If there is still water flow here, we recommend a further descent to the karst spring, where the stream flattens.

Toujours magnifica, eau froide au debut aquatique, chaud à la fin. Autre groupe derriere nous sinon calme. Bon debit au debut, sans debit apres la marche du milieu mais vasques toutes pleines. Sauts passent bien, ca saute bien! mais cest la fin pour la saison, la semaine prochaine la partie apres marche sera croupissante.
