Die A-9 'la Languedocienne/la Catalane' (Montpellier-Barcelona) bei der Ausfahrt 41 kurz vor Perpignan verlassen und durch Rivesaltes auf die D-117 in Richtung Quillan. Ca. 35 km ab Rivesaltes errreicht man Saint Paul de Fenouillet, wo es rechts (nach Norden) ab geht auf die D-7 (Richtung Cubières sur Cinoble).
Nach etwa 41½ km Fahrt,zuletzt bergauf, erreicht man einen großen Parkplatz am Eingang der Schlucht, wo man auch einen guten Überblick gewinnt. Hier das Auto abstellen.
Leave the A-9 'la Languedocienne/la Catalane' (Montpellier-Barcelona) at exit 41 just before Perpignan and take the D-117 through Rivesaltes in the direction of Quillan. Approx. 35 km from Rivesaltes you reach Saint Paul de Fenouillet, where you turn right (north) onto the D-7 (direction Cubières sur Cinoble).
After about 41½ km of driving, the last part uphill, you will reach a large parking lot at the entrance to the canyon, where you can also get a good overview. Park your car here.

Die bis zu 100 m tief eingeschnittene Schlucht bietet eine eindrucksvolle Tour, die auch kommerziell stark frequentiert wird und sich für Anfänger sehr gut eignet. Der Helm ist wegen der Gefahr, dass von der oben entlanglaufenden Straße Gegenstände in die Schlucht geworfen werden, unverzichtbar. Kurzes Seil kann hilfreich sein.
The canyon, which is up to 100 m deep, offers an impressive tour that is also heavily frequented commercially and is very suitable for beginners. A helmet is essential due to the risk of objects being thrown into the canyon from the road running along the top. Short ropes can be helpful.

Sobald sich die Schlucht aufweitet, links hinauf zum Parkplatz. Man kann auch noch ca. 400 m weiter durch eine erneute Verengung (vorwiegend schwimmend) und dann nach dem Wehr links hinauf (30 Min.)
As soon as the canyon widens, turn left up to the parking lot. You can also continue for approx. 400 m through another narrowing (mainly swimming) and then up to the left after the dam (30 min.)
