Drive from Locarno into the Maggia Valley and then turn left towards Locano. After the bridge over the Maggia, turn right onto la Caraa di Gèir and follow the road to a meadow at the parking coordinates. Park there.

Approche (1 h 10): traduction alternative ➜

Orographic right past La Scalèta, Capela ad'Lana, Capella del Pedro and Al Belvedé in the direction of A Castell on the hiking trail. Shortly before A Castell, descend to the right to the entry point.

Tour (4 h): traduction alternative ➜

Some higher rappels with large pools are followed by a longer blocked section. This is followed by beautiful lower steps and nice pools. It is possible to rappel from the suspension bridge after the water catchment and thus avoid the blocked section, but also the sporty first part.

Two new anchors set, water temperature 17 degrees, anchors now OK. On the second rappel the anchor on the left is well hidden. There is a second anchor on the right near the tree. Very slippery in places. The anchor on the first rappel (stone in the middle) could not be tightened optimally, but held well. Check carefully before use if necessary.
