Ähnlich wie beim benachbarten Rio Bianco sehr aufwändig da ein Auto auf der Eggeralm und ein Auto im Kanaltal benötigt wird. Einstiegsparkplatz: von Hermagor aus auf die Eggeralm hinauf. Am ausgewiesen Parkplatz parken. Oder via E-Bike ohne Autoüberstellung. Ausstiegsparkplatz: In Malborghetto im Bereich der Mündung des Rio Malborghetto in die Fella parken.

Similar to the neighboring Rio Bianco, this is quite a hassle since you’ll need one car at the Eggeralm and another in the Kanaltal. Parking entry: Drive up to the Eggeralm from Hermagor. Park in the designated parking lot. Or via e-bike without having to transfer cars. Parking exit: Park in Malborghetto near the confluence of the Rio Malborghetto and the Fella.

Von der Eggeralm in den Schlosshüttensattel aufsteigen und von dort aus auf einem mit vereinzelten Farbpunkten markierten Steig ins Tal des Rio Malborghetto absteigen. Von der Forsthütte noch weiter talwärts bis man das flache Kiesbett oberhalb der alten Klause erreicht. Zustieg 2. Möglichkeit. Wir sind von Marlborghetto mit dem E-Bike reingefahren. Über die Tibetbrücke rüber und vor der Tragestelle wo die Straße komplett abgerutscht ist, haben wir das Rad geparkt. Zu Fuß bis zur Alm Ciurciule und den teilweise versicherten Weg bis zum Einstieg. Nie langweilig und echt lässig. Man muss bei gewissen Rinnen aufpassen das man den Weg nicht verliert und eine Schotterquerung war mir zu gefährlich und sind diese 20Hm oberhalb umgangen.

Climb from the Eggeralm to the Schlosshüttensattel, and from there descend into the Rio Malborghetto valley along a path marked with occasional colored dots. From the forest hut, continue further down the valley until you reach the flat gravel bed above the old hermitage. Access Option 2. We rode in from Marlborghetto on e-bikes. We crossed the Tibet Bridge and parked our bikes before the portage section where the road has completely washed out. We walked to the Ciurciule alpine pasture and followed the partially secured trail to the entry. Never boring and really laid-back. You have to be careful in certain chutes not to lose the trail, and one gravel crossing seemed too dangerous to me, so we bypassed it by taking a detour 20 meters above.

Obere Schlucht: 7 Abseiler bis 20m in Schrofenschlucht danach 10 Minuten Wanderung bis man die kurze aber sehr schön ausgewaschene untere Klamm erreicht - 5 Abseiler bis 17m. Die Obere Schlucht ist nur teilweise eingebaut. Bohrmaschine obligatorisch. Reihenfolge: 1: Klemmbaum, 4m 2: Klemmbaum, 3m 3: Li, Lasche mit Seilring, 6m 4: Li, Einzelstehender dünner Baum, Seilring, 15m 5: Re, 10er Ring NEU, Felskopf, 10m 6: Li Umgehung, 4m Die Unter Schlucht ist mega lässig. 1: Re, Lasche mit Seilring, 4m 2: Li, Lasche mit Maillon, das erste Becken überseilen, 22m 3: Li der alte Anker, Lasche mit Seilring ist nicht mehr erreichbar, wir haben das Seil von oben verlängert und sind problemlos weiter. Seil 35m. Die Stelle hat ansonst 6m. 4: Li, Fächerwasserfall, tolle Kulisse, Problemlos, 15m, 5: Re, der alte Stand ist nicht mehr Sinnvoll, das Wasser hat einen neuen Weg, wir haben Re, hinter dem Block NEU eingebaut, 10er Rescue Lasche, 8m 6: Re, NEU 10er Rescue Lasche, abklettern zu gefährlich, 4m

Upper Canyon: 7 rappels up to 20 m in the Schrofen Canyon, followed by a 10-minute hike until you reach the short but beautifully eroded Lower Gorge—5 rappels up to 17 m. The Upper Canyon is only partially equipped. A drill is required. Order: 1: Wedged tree, 4 m 2: Wedged tree, 3 m 3: Left, tab with rope ring, 6 m 4: Left, solitary thin tree, rope ring, 15 m 5: Right, size 10 ring (NEW), rock outcrop, 10 m 6: Left bypass, 4 m The Lower Canyon is super fun. 1: Right, bolt with rope loop, 4m 2: Left, bolt with maillon, rappel over the first pool, 22m 3: Left, the old anchor; the sling with rope ring is no longer accessible—we extended the rope from above and continued without any issues. Rope: 35m. The section is otherwise 6m. 4: Left, fan-shaped waterfall, great scenery, no problems, 15m, 5: Right, the old belay point is no longer practical; the water has found a new path. We installed a NEW 10-meter rescue sling on the right, behind the boulder, 8m 6: Right, NEW 10-meter rescue sling; downclimbing is too dangerous, 4m

Sehr lange Bachbettwanderung mit etlichen Abkletterstellen. Alternativ kann man auch weglos zur etwa 100hm oberhalb verlaufenden Forststrasse aufsteigen, langer Fortweg ins Tal oder mit dem E-Bike retour nach Marlborghetto.

A very long hike along the stream bed with several places where you have to downclimb. Alternatively, you can hike off-trail up to the forest road running about 100 hm higher; from there, it’s a long hike back down into the valley or a ride back to Marlborghetto on an e-bike.
