Similar to the neighboring Rio Bianco, very time-consuming as one car is needed on the Eggeralm and one car in the Kanaltal valley.\n\nEntry parking lot: from Hermagor up to the Eggeralm. Park at the designated parking lot\n\n\nExit parking lot: Park in Malborghetto in the area where the Rio Malborghetto flows into the Fella.

From the Eggeralm, ascend to the Schlosshüttensattel and from there descend into the valley of the Rio Malborghetto on a path marked with occasional colored dots. From the forest hut, continue further down the valley until you reach the flat gravel bed above the old hermitage.

Upper canyon: 7 rappels up to 20m in Schrofenschlucht then 10 minutes hike until you reach the short but beautifully washed out lower gorge - 5 rappels up to 17m.\n\n
