Auf der A 1 (via Mailand) oder der A 21 (via Brescia) nach Piacenza (südliche Ausfahrt). Auf einer Umgehungsstraße im Süden um die Stadt herum, dann auf der SS 45 durch das Val di Trebbia über Bobbio nach Marsaglia. Vor der Brücke links auf die SP 586 ('Chiavari'). Nach km 9 durchfährt man ein Tunnel, unmittelbar danach ist linkerhand ein Lagerplatz für Straßenschutt. Hier kann man ein Auto abstellen. Mit dem anderen Auto geht es noch ca. 500 m weiter, um dann nach links abzubiegen in Richtung Casale – Brugneto. Nach 2 km (von der Abzweigung gemessen) findet sich in einer Rechtskurve linkerhand ein Platz zum Parken. Er wird überragt von einem bewachsenen Felsen. Die Straße wendet sich hier vom Rio Grande ab, um ein Seitental auszufahren.

Take the A 1 (via Milan) or the A 21 (via Brescia) to Piacenza (southern exit). Take a bypass around the town to the south, then take the SS 45 through the Val di Trebbia via Bobbio to Marsaglia. Before the bridge, turn left onto the SP 586 ('Chiavari'). After km 9 you drive through a tunnel, immediately afterwards there is a storage area for road debris on the left. You can park one car here. With the other car, continue for about 500 m and then turn left towards Casale - Brugneto. After 2 km (measured from the junction) there is a parking area on the left in a bend to the right. It is overlooked by an overgrown rock. The road turns away from the Rio Grande here to leave a side valley.

Direkt vor dem Felshügel führt der Pfad hinab zum Rio Grande. Der Einstieg ist beim Zusammenfluss von Rio Grande und dem von rechts (Osten) kommenden Rio dei Boschi.

Just before the rocky hill, the path descends to the Rio Grande. The entry is at the confluence of Rio Grande and Rio dei Boschi coming from the right (east).

Nur3 bis 5 Abseilstellen (attraktiv die mit 19 m) kurzer Canyon. Von den früheren Rutschen und Sprüngen war nicht mehr viel zu sehen (nach Hochwasser). Unten im Bachbett findet sich ein Warnschild 'Schleusenöffnung', aber bei den Wehren im Oberlauf soll es sich nur um Geschiebebremsen handeln. Der Rio Grande ließe sich gut zeitlich mit dem Colombaia verbinden.Der Canyon wird auch kommerziell begangen ('Speedy Gonzales')

Only 3 to 5 abseiling points (attractive with 19 m) short canyon. There was not much left of the former slides and jumps (after high water). At the bottom of the streambed there is a warning sign 'Lock opening', but the dams in the upper reaches are only supposed to be slide brakes. The Rio Grande could easily be combined with the Colombaia, and the canyon is also used commercially ('Speedy Gonzales').
