Von Barbastro in Richtung Alquézar. Nach etwa 20 km auf der neu ausgebauten A 1232 bei der Verzweigung an der Brücke des Rio Vero (jenseits der Brücke Camping Rio Vero) rechts ab und auf der A 2205 über Colungo weiter in Richtung Arcusa, Ainsa. Die Straße windet sich nun kurvenreich nordwärts. Man überquert den Bco Palomeras Fornocal und erreicht einige hundert Meter weiter die Puente de las Gargantas über den Rio Fornocal. Hier Auto abstellen.

From Barbastro in the direction of Alquézar. After about 20 km on the newly extended A 1232, turn right at the junction at the Rio Vero bridge (beyond the Camping Rio Vero bridge) and continue on the A 2205 via Colungo in the direction of Arcusa, Ainsa. The road now winds its way northwards. Cross the Bco Palomeras Fornocal and a few hundred meters further on you will reach the Puente de las Gargantas over the Rio Fornocal. Park your car here.

An der Ostseite der Brücke zieht ein Trampelpfad zuerst in nördlicher Richtung an den Rand des Sarratanas. Bald wendet er sich nach Osten und führt hart am Rand der Flanke der Konglomerat-Schlucht nur unmerklich ansteigend fast bis zum Tal-Schluss. Nach Querung einer kleinen Bachrinne geht es dann hinab zum Einstieg.

On the east side of the bridge, a trail first heads north towards the edge of the Sarratana. It soon turns to the east and leads along the edge of the conglomerate canyon, rising only imperceptibly almost to the end of the valley. After crossing a small stream channel, it then descends to the entry point.

Nach Hinaustreten aus dem fast unterirdischen letzten Abschnitt erreicht man nach weinigen Metern den Rio Fornocal, folgt diesem abwärts unter der hoch oben liegenden Straßenbrücke hindurch. Etwa 70m nach der Brücke zieht rechts eine Spur, zunächst eine betonierte alte Wasserleitung querend, steil hiauf zur Brücke (im Zweifel eher rechts halten). Denselben Aufstieg nimmt man nach dem Fornocal und dem Palomeras Fornocal.

After emerging from the last part, which is almost underground, you reach the Rio Fornocal after a few meters and follow it downhill under the road bridge high above. About 70m after the bridge, a track on the right, initially crossing an old concrete water pipe, climbs steeply up to the bridge (if in doubt, keep to the right). Take the same ascent after the Fornocal and the Palomeras Fornocal.
