Nach der Umfahrung von Genf auf der Schweizer N 1 nach der Landesgrenze auf der A 40 in Richtung Lyon, Dijon, Paris, Nach 25 km (ab Grenze)die Abfahrt 11 (Bellegarde Center) nehmen in Richtung Fragny, Seyssel. 6 km weiter am Ortsausgang von Mons rechts ab auf die D 992 und durch Seyssel und Culoz (weitere 23 km), wo man auf der D 904 (Richtung Bourg-en-Bresse) zusätzliche 8,5 km weiterfährt bis Artemare (insgesamt 62 km ab Grenze).\nWir fahren weitere 9 km auf der N04und sten dann auf die N 54, der wir (rechts) in Richtung Amberieu-le-Bugey folgen. 17 km weiter biegen wir rechts ab nach Tenay. Hier folgen wir einige km der D 21 in östlicher Richtung, um dann auf die D 53 nach Chaley abzubiegen. Vor Erreichen der Ortschaft Chaley rechts hinunter zur Albarine. Hier Auto an einer für Canyonisten vorgegebenen Stelle abstellen.

After bypassing Geneva on the Swiss N 1 after the border on the A 40 in the direction of Lyon, Dijon, Paris, After 25 km (from the border)take exit 11 (Bellegarde Center) in the direction of Fragny, Seyssel. 6 km further, at the exit of Mons, turn right on the D 992 and go through Seyssel and Culoz (another 23 km), where you continue on the D 904 (direction Bourg-en-Bresse) for an additional 8.5 km until Artemare (total 62 km from the border).\nWe continue on the N04 for another 9 km and then sten onto the N 54, which we follow (on the right) in the direction of Amberieu-le-Bugey. 17 km further on we turn right to Tenay. Auf der D 53 zur Ortschaft und bei den ersten Häusern links hinauf. Der Weg zieht auf der orograf. rechten Hangseite aufwärts. Wo man (610 m ü.NN) auf einer ebeneren Fläche direkt an's Wasser stößt, war der früher übliche Einstieg. Jetzt den Pfad rechts zum Damm und Rohrdurchlass nehmen und dort einsteigen.

Take the D 53 to the village and turn left uphill at the first houses. The path ascends on the orographic right side of the slope. Where you reach the water (610 m above sea level) on a level surface, this was the usual entry point. Now take the path on the right to the dam and pipe culvert and enter there.

After the 5 m slide (which can be bypassed on the left) and a final optional jump (6 m), head out to the right and along the pipeline towards the village until you reach the access path on the right.

De nombreuses salamandres adultes aujourd'hui tout le long du parcours et des larves dans les vasques, on est attentifs où on met les pieds ! Un peu de bucheronnage dans et sur les rives du ruisseau a été réalisé cette semaine pour sécurisation avec l'accord de la mairie de Chaley. L'arrêté municipal est toujours en place, les vestiaires sont propres. Le snack de Dadou au départ du canyon est ouvert et vous attend pour un café (ouvert selon météo). Automatisch importiert von Descente-Canyon.com für Canyon Chaley Une belle découverte, une vraie particularité ce Chaley, des concressions, des formations géologiques très originales..Très joli.Équipement rudimentaire et assez vieillot mais en bon état.Attention :On a trouvé les indications d'accès limite.Une fois sur le chemin balisage jaune, on croise une route forestière, il faut la prendre à droite, et NE PAS continuer le sentier balisage jaune en face comme des cons comme nous... Ça grimpe fort et ne mène nulle part.L'accès se fait donc 3 min a pied après la bifurque avec la route.Le tunnel indiqué n'est pas visible de la route forestière, il faut progresser dans le canyon 100m pour y arriver.De là, passer dans le tunnel (on a hésité, mais des griffures de baudrier au sol nous ont indiquées que ça se désescaladait) et faire le canyon.Sortie évidente.Fait après le Trefon Pernaz.+ D'infos Nico 0618522515.
