Auf der A1 (via Mailand) oder der A 21 (via Brescia) nach Piacenza (südliche Ausfahrt). Auf einer Umgehungsstraße im Süden um die Stadt herum, dann auf der SS 45 durch das Val di Trebbia über Bobbio nach Marsaglia. Vor der Brücke links auf die SP 586 ('Chiavari'). Auf dem Parkplatz in der Kurve bei km 8 ein Auto parken.
Bei km 12 – Ruffinati – rechts über eine Brücke und auf enger kurvenreicher Asphaltstraße hinauf nach Lisore und weiter bis zu einer Panoramastr. auf der Höhe (ca. 1050 m). Dort rechts und über Selva nach Cariseto. In der Ortschaft Parkmöglichkeit.
Take the A1 (via Milan) or the A 21 (via Brescia) to Piacenza (southern exit). Take a bypass around the town to the south, then take the SS 45 through the Val di Trebbia via Bobbio to Marsaglia. Before the bridge, turn left onto the SP 586 ('Chiavari'). Park a car in the parking lot in the bends at km 8.
At km 12 - Ruffinati - turn right over a bridge and up a narrow, winding asphalt road to Lisore and on to a panoramic road at the top (approx. 1050 m). Turn right there and via Selva to Cariseto. Parking available in the village.

Auf der Straße noch ca. 100 m weiter, dann auf einem Feldweg rechts hinunter. Nach etwa weiteren 100 m verzweigt sich der Weg. Hier die Piste geradeaus hinab. Der Weg wird zum Pfad und führt in den Wald hinein. Nach einigen weiteren 100 m wird er fast eben. Hier geht es links hinunter zum Einstieg in den Bach. Es führt ein Pfad über den Bach, die Brücke ist offenbar weggespült. Etwa 50 m weiter unten am linken Ufer stehen die Mauerreste einer ehemaligen Mühle
Continue on the road for about 100 m, then take a dirt road down to the right. After about another 100 m the path branches. Here the dirt road straight down. The path becomes a trail and enters the forest. After a few more 100 m it becomes almost flat. Here go down to the left to the entry into the stream. There is a path across the creek, the bridge is obviously washed away. About 50 m further down on the left bank are the remains of the walls of a former mill

Die relativ offene Waldschlucht hat 26 Abseilstellen, einige wenige Sprünge und Rutschen. Im letzten Viertel zieht sie sich ohne größere Abfälle durch ausgespülten Fels und verliert hier ihren Charakter als 'Kiesellatscher' und Abseilcanyon.

Man folgt dem Bach bis zu dessen Mündung in den Aveto, den man durchwatet (Achtung: Gefahr des Wasseranstiegs durch Schleusenöffnung!). Auf der anderen Seite liegt der Parkplatz, wo man das erste Auto abgestellt hat.
You follow the stream until its mouth in the Aveto, which you wade through (attention: danger of water rise due to lock opening!). On the other side is the parking lot where you left the first car.
