DC- . Équipement ok. Des névés sont présents surtout dans les deux premières étroitures mais bien tunnélisés sur la partie amont. Fait Amont + Aval à 2 avec nuitée au refuge de l'Estrop (super acceuil et repas délicieux ! en plus vous vous régalerez avec le livre qui conte l'ouverture de la partie amont). Départ 7h du refuge, 2h d'approche, 4h45 de canyon. Mais qu'est ce qu'on marche dans la partie aval ! ^^ Canyon très encaissé qui donne une jolie ambiance..Bravo aux ouvreurs!
DC- . Gear is fine. Snowfields are present, especially in the first two narrow sections, but they’re well-tunnelled on the upstream section. We did the Upstream + Downstream sections as a pair, with an overnight stay at the Estrop refuge (great hospitality and delicious meals! Plus, you’ll enjoy the book that tells the story of the opening of the upstream section). We left the refuge at 7 a.m., with a 2-hour approach and a 4-hour, 45-minute canyon run. Man, do we walk a lot on the downstream section! ^^ A very steep-walled canyon that creates a lovely atmosphere… Kudos to the route-setters!

Un bon rééquipement ne ferait pas de mal. rien à signaler sur intermédiaire (DC+ pour la partie étroite mais aucun risque) et inférieure. Une beauté !
We hiked through the canyon from Alpe di Lago all the way to the bottom. Six people, 1,800 meters of elevation gain. The anchors for the upper section are in place, but there’s a lot of walking in the river. The anchors in the upper section leave something to be desired, whether they’re tree belays or fixed points. A good re-equipping wouldn’t hurt. Nothing to report on the middle section (DC+ for the narrow part but no risk) or the lower section. Absolutely beautiful!

Ancrages bien vieux en haut. Canyon glissant avec beaucoup d'embacles, surtout dans la deuxième partie (avec 2 chamois surprises). Dans le dernier cassé, pas trouvé le relai après le R55 (après la troisième longueur) donc percé à environ 70-80m du 3eme relai dans le mur...
Very old anchors at the top. Slippery canyon with lots of log jams, especially in the second section (with 2 surprise chamois). In the last broken section, couldn’t find the belay after R55 (after the third pitch), so drilled about 70–80 m from the third belay in the wall...

Quelques ancrages rouillés et un qui manque (rappel possible rive droite sur les arbres). Canyon glissant mais vraiment super! Continu et bien découpé.
A few rusty anchors and one missing (you can abseil down the right bank using the trees). The canyon is slippery but really great! It’s continuous and has some nice sections.

Quelques ancrages sont bien rouillés. Un petit réequipement serait utile. Sinon débit correct plutôt bas..Glissant mais sans plus. Pour la marche de retour, beaucoup plus pratique qu'avant, suivre le chemin au moulin vers le haut puis à flanc de falaise vers la droite jusqu'à ce qu'il remonte (ne pas suivre panneau Niva Fiume, prendre à gauche en haut à ce moment là).
Some of the anchors are quite rusty. A little re-equipment would be useful. Other than that, the flow is decent and rather low...slippery but no more than that. For the return walk, much more practical than before, follow the path to the mill upwards, then right along the cliffside until it rises again (do not follow the Niva Fiume sign, turn left at the top at this point).

Le début n'est pas intéressant car beaucoup de bois. On peut shunter en passant plus bas (cabane) mais attention à ne pas aller sur le chemin et propriété privée (donc passer à travers bois). Il n'y a plus de tronc dans la cascade finale!
The beginning is not very interesting, as there are a lot of woods. You can bypass it by going lower down (hut), but be careful not to go onto the path and private property (so go through the woods). There are no logs left in the final cascade!

Une descente effectuée en très gros débit. Beaucoup de mouvements d'eau. Les ancrages sont pas mal abîmés. Nous avons remis deux points mais avec des ancrages d'exploration (à utiliser avec précaution).

A very interesting canyon when the flow is good. We approached it from the Varen alp. It can also be reached from the Gemmipass. Longest pitch: 85 m. A few points were doubled this day, but otherwise the equipment was more than adequate! The inferior part (after Larschi) still has some rappels. Thanks to the openers of this little Upper Valais beauty!

Equipement ok. Approche en 1h30 avec dépose bateau depuis la plage de Agelada. Nikolas +306984508105. On s'est un peu perdu en chemin à moîs de 100m du canyon, les kerns avaient disparu et en regardant la carte sur Avenza maps, nous étions 50m trop bas... Bizarre... Kerns er points bleus retrouvés ensuite, Peut être avons nous suivi le chemin de retour du canyon ? Sinon canyon magnifique, avec une vue splendide. Attention dans le mur de 50-50 (avant le relai final et après le gros mur), le second relai est rive gauche....
Equipment ok. Approach in 1h30 with boat drop off from Agelada beach. Nikolas +306984508105. We got a bit lost on the way, about 100m from the canyon, the kerns had disappeared and looking at the map on Avenza maps, we were 50m too low... Strange... Kerns and blue dots found again later, maybe we followed the way back from the canyon? Otherwise magnificent canyon, with a splendid view. Be careful in the 50-50 wall (before the final relay and after the big wall), the second relay is on the left bank....

Un canyon qui pourrait se faire sans corde presque. Équipement tout ok. Enchaîné avec Vatos. Sortie par la mer (avec bières fraiches) grâce à Nicolais: +306984508105 Pour l'accès les balises bleues de Vertical Water sont en place, sinon Openandromaps ou Avenza maps ont de bonnes cartes.

Un canyon qui pourrait être joli mais les intestins laissés en décoration et le bois gâchent un peu l'atmosphère. Les ancrages sont vieux, se méfier cependant. Vers la fin, à partir de la cascade de Sorico les ancrages se font rares, on a un peu improvisé..
A canyon that could be pretty, but the intestines left as decoration and the wood spoil the atmosphere a bit. The anchors are old, but beware. Towards the end, from the cascade de Sorico onwards, anchorages become scarce, so we improvised a little...

Conditions parfaites actuellement. Canyon peu glissant, niveau d'eau correct, ancrages ok. 2 points mériteraient d'être doublés cependant, si un perfo passe par là (65m en monopoint et un autre point plus tard avec une fissure très proche)

Canyon encore sous la neige avec beaucoup de névé. Attendre encore au moins 2-3 semaines vraisemblablement... Les équipements sont toujours en place sinon. Possible de shunter la partir très haute des grands rappels du début en coupant dans la forêt.
Canyon still snow-covered with lots of névé. We'll probably have to wait at least another 2-3 weeks... Otherwise, the equipment is still in place. It's possible to bypass the very high abseils at the start by cutting through the forest.

Nachdem wir den klassischen Rosenlaui Sup. gemacht haben, waren wir neugierig und hatten Bock nachzuschauen was im anderen Zufluss so passiert. Und siehe da, noch mehr Canyoning Passagen die noch keine Haken hatten.
After doing the classic Rosenlaui Sup. we were curious and wanted to see what was happening in the other tributary. And lo and behold, there were even more canyoning passages that didn't yet have anchors.
