On the D115, just outside Arles-sur-Tech, turn right immediately into the residential area and then take the D43 up to Corsavy. After passing Corsavy, follow the road toward Batère until you reach the bridge; immediately after the bridge, there is an uphill path on the left that leads to the hamlet of Leca. Before reaching the hamlet, a path on the right leads up to the “Barraca del Faig,” passing several inhabited farmhouses and a few ruins. First, you’ll pass the farmhouse “Can Robert,” then the turnoff to the farmhouse “La Casassa,” and finally the farmhouse “Leca.” One kilometer further on, you’ll see the ruins of the Torre d’Anglars on the right and the hairpin curve to the right. At the hairpin turn, a trail along the side of the road leads down to the starting point of Part 2. For Part 1, you must continue by car, pass through the gate at Col d’en Cé, and follow the road to the exit. The starting point for Part 1 is located below the “parking lot” in Faig. For Part 3, the depth is significantly greater: Park in front of the bridge leading to the hamlet of Leca at an elevation of 841 meters, on the left side of the D43, across from a path that descends to the riverbed. For the third part, you’ll need to arrange for a shuttle bus.
Approach (15 min): ➜
P1: No access; descend directly below the path to the first slides. P2: From the Torre d’Anglars parking lot at the hairpin curve, the access takes about ten minutes to reach the first rock gorges. P3: Across from the parking lot, cross the road and take the forest trail on the opposite side, which leads to an old footbridge that was completely destroyed by flooding; cross it, and the first two rappelling points begin at the tributary of the Ribereta (Riverette).
Tour (2 h 30): ➜
P1(v2a2l): Sehr kurz, alles geht schnell hintereinander, ohne Pause.
P1 (v2a2l): Very short; everything happens in quick succession, without a break. Several slides follow; a short 20-meter rope is sufficient. P2 (v2a3l): Upstream, after reaching the river, a small, narrow passage leads down into a siphon, followed by rappels, jumps, slides, narrow sections, swimming, and tight passages. A 30-meter rope is useful for some slanted waterfalls. P3 (v3a3l): The route begins at the left tributary of the Ribereta (Riverette) and continues to the Mas de l’Andreu bridge. A physically demanding part due to long walking stretches between the obstacles. Waterfalls up to 20 meters high
Return (30 min): ➜
P1: Return along the right bank after the last short rappelling section. You can either return to the marked trail or stay below the forest and follow the river to the parking lot. P2: After the last narrow section, the return route begins below the forest, following the river. Leave the trail on the left bank via an old path that leads up to Mas de Leca and then to the trail where the Torre d’Anglars is located. Be sure to bring an IGN map, as the return route is quite confusing. P3: You’ll reach the Mas de l’Andreu bridge just past the last waterfall (shuttle bus).

Hydrology: ➜
There are numerous alternative routes along the entire length of the river. There is a lot of water in the spring; you should not go into the water at this time of year unless there is a drought, as was the case in the spring of 2023.
