January - December
Summary:
An open ravine with a few narrow sections and a stunning overhanging abseil at the start.
Access:
From Reus, take the C14 to Montblanc; on reaching Alcover, take the TV7041 towards Montral. From Montral, take the turn-off to Capafonts; before reaching the village, at kilometre 21.8, you will see an open area where you can park your car.
Approach (50 min):
From the car park, we head back along the road towards Montral, as soon as we cross the bridge over the River d’en Seguer, we’ll come to an uphill path (Mussara via the Foradada rock). We’ll pass by the Molinet, a natural bridge, and reach the Font de l’Escudelleta and the Cova del Grèvol; a few metres further on, we’ll descend towards the riverbed along a clearly marked path that will take us to the first abseil point.
Tour (2 h 30):
An open ravine with a few narrow sections and a stunning overhanging abseil at the start.
Return (35 min):
The ravine ends at Font de la Llúdriga. Option 1: Continue along the track leading towards Capafonts; just before reaching the village, near a fountain, there is a track on the right that leads to the main road. Option 2: Take the footpath that runs between the river and the track; this eventually joins the return track from Option 1.
