Tour (40 min):
Very popular with guiding companies best avoided in peak season. A popular walking area in the gorge, used by numerous groups from across the north of England and very (!) busy during the summer months. Recent (2016) damage to paths during the summer season may jeopardise future access. The gorge itself is short and easy, but very picturesque. A 10-metre abseil to start with (Ashgill Force). The anchor points are haphazard and appear to have been installed without much of a plan.
