Laut Angaben eines Einheimischen ist Canyoning im Naturschutzgebiet Totes Gebirge, und somit auch der Vorderbach, verboten. Dieses Verbot bedarf noch genauer Recherche, allerdings verzichte ich dadurch vorerst auf eine genauere Beschreibung des Canyons und rate von einer Begehung (auch aufgrund des mässigen Charakters) ab.<br><br>Wer aber mal in der Gegend ist sollte sich den 22m Sprung in den tiefschwarzen Toplitzsee nicht entgehen lassen. Man folgt einfach dem Fussweg entlang des Toplitzsees in Richtung Vorderbach, bis man zu einer nicht übersehbaren leicht überhängenden Wand kommt.

Only passable at extremely low water levels. According to a local, canyoning is prohibited in the Totes Gebirge nature reserve, and thus also the Vorderbach. Der Forststraße folgen, bei der Fischerhütte vorbei dem Wanderweg folgen bis zu einer kleinen Brücke. Hier kann schon mal der Wasserstand begutachtet werden. Dem Weg, immer steiler werdend, weiter folgen (nicht in der ÖK eingezeichnet) bis zur Vordernbachalm. Der Einstieg befindet sich nahe der Brücke über den Bach.

Follow the forest road, pass the fishing hut and follow the hiking trail until you reach a small bridge. Here you can check the water level. Follow the path, which becomes steeper and steeper (not marked in the ÖK) until you reach the Vordernbachalm. The entry is near the bridge over the stream.
