Von Karak fahren wir auf der "50" etwa 3,5 km nach Osten und biegen an der Kreuzung mit der "35" auf letztere Richtung Süden ab. Ab der Kreuzung fahren wir dann 31 km bis zur Brücke über das Wadi Hasa und biegen dann 6,7 km nach der Brücke in spitzem Winkel rechts ab auf die Straße zum Thermalbad "Hammamat Afra" bzw. "Hammam Burbeita". Auf dieser Straße fahren wir von der Abzweigung gerechnet 9 km und kommen dann zum Parkplatz P1, wo man das Auto für den Zustieg zum Wadi Hasa Upper abstellen würde, falls man dessen Begehung mit der Begehung des Wadi Afra vebinden wollte. Wollen wir uns auf die Begehung des Wadi Afra beschränken, so fahren wir von P1 weiter und kommen nach 2 km zu P2. Hier stellen wir das Auto für den Zustieg ab. Das zweite Auto - so wir haben - für den Ausstieg stellen wir noch einmal 1,8 km weiter bei P 3 ab.

From Karak we drive east on the "50" for about 3.5 km and turn south on the latter at the intersection with the "35". From the junction we drive 31 km to the bridge over the Wadi Hasa and then 6.7 km after the bridge we turn right at an acute angle onto the road to the thermal bath "Hammamat Afra" or "Hammam Burbeita". On this road we drive 9 km from the junction and then we arrive at the parking lot P1, where we would park the car for the access to the Wadi Hasa Upper, if we wanted to combine its access with the access to the Wadi Afra. If we want to limit ourselves to the Wadi Afra, we continue from P1 and after 2 km we arrive at P2. Here we park the car for the access. The second car - if we have one - for the exit we park another 1,8 km further at P 3.

Von P 2 laufen wir die Piste in nördlicher Richtung hinunter, bis wir links hinab bei den Resten einer Mühle in das Bachbett des Wadi Afra steigen können.

From P 2 we walk down the path in a northerly direction until we can descend on the left at the remains of a mill into the streambed of Wadi Afra.

Die Begehung erfolgt nun bachaufwärts. Die Stufen sind im warmen, nach oben hin zunehmend heißerem Wasser oder am Ufer alle ohne Schwierigkeiten zu überwinden. Die Whirlpools laden zum Verweilen ein. Wenn wir die Anlagen des Thermalbades sehen, sollten wir wieder ein Stück abwärts laufen und so aussteigen, dass uns die Entrichtung der Eintrittsgebühr für das Thermalbad erspart bleibt.

The ascent now takes place upstream. The steps can all be negotiated without difficulty in the warm water, which gets progressively hotter towards the top, or on the bank. The whirlpools invite us to linger. When we see the facilities of the thermal bath, we should walk downhill again a bit and get out in such a way that we are spared the payment of the entrance fee for the thermal bath.
