Summary:
he first section is more deeply eroded, with three abseils in quick succession, the last of which is the longest on the entire route, at 30 metres. After that, the ravine widens and we’ll alternate between abseils and a jumble of large boulders that form curious, dark recesses.

he first section is more deeply eroded, with three abseils in quick succession, the last of which is the longest on the entire route, at 30 metres. After that, the ravine widens and we’ll alternate between abseils and a jumble of large boulders that form curious, dark recesses.
Access:
We’ll head to Solsona, where we’ll take the C-462 road towards Sant Llorenç. About one kilometre before reaching the reservoir dam, we’ll take a turn-off to the left (a dirt track), marked by a sign reading ‘Lloza del Cavall’. We’ll park in the open area in front of a small dairy farm.
Approach (1 h):
We’ll continue on foot to the right along the track leading towards some flats, cross the flats’ grounds and a small wooden bridge that spans the ravine we’ll be descending. We’ll then head up the ravine along the riverbed until we pass under a road. A few metres further on, we’ll turn off to the right and look for a faint path marked with a few cairns and green markings. Once we reach the top, the path gradually descends until it crosses the riverbed, where we’ll begin our descent. Follow the track, as it’s easy to lose your way.
Tour ():
A normally dry conglomerate ravine. The first section is more deeply eroded, with three abseils in quick succession, the last of which is the longest on the entire route, at 30 metres. After that, the ravine widens and we’ll alternate between abseils and a jumble of large boulders that form curious, dark recesses.
Return (15 min):
After the final abseil, we’ll continue along the riverbed until we reach the starting point.
