Parkplatz Hartelsgraben (direkt neben Straße/Gleise, alternativ nach Brücke am großen Parkplatz.

Hartelsgraben parking lot (right next to the street/rails; alternatively, park at the large parking lot after the bridge).

Zustieg über den landschaftlich schönen Hartelsgraben Richtung Sulzkaralm, auf 1250m Forststraße rechts folgen bis Umkehrplatz ("Rechtes Kammerl"). Von dort aus den Bachverlauf folgen.

Access the hike along the scenic Hartelsgraben toward Sulzkaralm; at 1,250 m, follow the forest road to the right until you reach the turnaround point (“Rechtes Kammerl”). From there, follow the stream.

Im oberen Bachverlauf sind drei Pools, man kann die Stellen abklettern (moosig) oder einfach umgehen. Erster Abseiler nach ca. 100m. 1. Stand an Baum links (Schlinge mit Rapidglied) über 2 Pools 20m 2. Stand rechts (1 BH+Rapidglied) 8m über Stufe *80m Gehen (viel Holz in Schlucht, ein potentieller Abseiler 6m ausgelassen) 3. Stand links (1 BH+Rapidglied) 15m *50m im Bach oder umgehen (viel Holz) bis an Kante (Weg für Instandhaltung Kraftwerk quert) - hier startet der vertikalere, schöne Teil 4. Stand rechts (1 BH+Rapidglied+Baum+Schlinge) 18m 5. Stand links (1 BH+Rapidglied) 15m 6. Stand links (2 BH+Rapidglied+Schlinge) 20m *Wasserentnahmestelle, Fluchtmöglichkeit links 7. Stand rechts (2 BH+Rapidglied+Schlinge) 20m 8. Stand rechts (2 BH+Rapidglied+Schlinge) 20m 9. Stand rechts (2 BH+Rapidglied+Schlinge) 20m *Fluchmöglichkeit links 10. Stand links (2 BH+Rapidglied+Schlinge) 18m 11. Stand rechts (2 BH+Rapidglied+Schlinge) 18m *80m Gehen bis Kraftwerk (Holzhütte) von dort aus über Forststraße retour zum Aufstiegsweg (Kohlenmeiler).

There are three pools in the upper section of the stream; you can downclimb to them (mossy) or simply go around them. First rappel after about 100 m. 1. Anchor at a tree on the left (sling with quickdraw) across 2 pools, 20 m 2. Anchor on the right (1 carabiner + rapid link) 8 m over a step *80 m walk (lots of debris in the canyon; one potential 6-meter rappel section skipped) 3. Anchor on the left (1 carabiner + rapid link) 15 m *50 m in the stream or around it (lots of logs) to the edge (crosses the power plant maintenance path)—this is where the steeper, more scenic section begins 4. Belay station on the right (1 carabiner + quickdraw + tree + sling) 18 m 5. Belay station on the left (1 carabiner + rapid link) 15 m 6. Belay station on the left (2 carabiners + rapid link + sling) 20 m *Water intake point, escape route to the left 7. Belay station on the right (2 carabiners + rapid link + sling) 20 m 8. Belay station on the right (2 carabiners + quickdraw + sling) 20 m 9. Belay station on the right (2 carabiners + quickdraw + sling) 20 m *Escape route to the left 10. Belay station on the left (2 carabiners + quickdraw + sling) 18 m 11. Belay station on the right (2 carabiners + rapid link + sling) 18 m *Walk 80 m to the power plant (wooden hut); from there, take the forest road back to the ascent trail (charcoal kiln).
