Access:
Teruel–Montalbán (N-420) and Zaragoza–Montalbán (A-222); from Montalbán, take the N-211 towards Alcañiz, then take the turn-off onto the TE-V-1334 provincial road near the village of Castel de Cabra.
Approach (15 min):
A path leading from the Martín River Cultural Park’s Flora Interpretation Centre. An information board, situated about 100 metres from the Centre – follow the path and signposts – provides a series of recommendations for the descent whilst describing it in detail: duration, accessibility, the difficulties we will encounter on the various sections, fauna, flora… Shortly after the information board, you’ll reach an old ruined building on the right bank of the River Cabra. These are the remains of the wall of the ‘Molino Bajo’ mill, built from rough ashlar and masonry made of limestone and red sandstone. The path continues into the Cabra River downstream from the village, until the first gorges force the route to run along the upper part of these gorges and over the rock itself, offering beautiful views of the riverbed. Handrails have been installed, anchored to the rocks by safety ropes, to help walkers navigate these initial natural obstacles. This first signposted section leads to some natural cavities that open up in the rocky face on the river’s left bank, known as the Cuevas del tío Mariano, with a charming waterfall at their base. From this point onwards, the River Cabra begins to wind its way through the Jurassic limestone and dolomite, forming pools and waterfalls, whilst the steep cliffs now block the hiking route, forcing walkers to venture into the riverbed itself. This is the moment for canyoning enthusiasts, and there are around 6 hours of walking ahead, constantly accompanied by water, rock and tangles of brambles.

Return (15 min):
After leaving the narrows behind, you soon reach an area of market gardens, where the River Cabra flows into the Martín and Obón, which winds its way up the sunny slope on the left bank of the River Martín.
