Von Cimolais ins Tal der Cimoliana abzweigen und der Strasse bis zur Mauthütte folgen (Maut 2014: 6 EUR pro Fahrzeug). Weiter durchs Tal hinauf bis zum grossen Parkplatz bei der Mündung des Valle Santa Maria.

From Cimolais turn into the valley of the Cimoliana and follow the road to the toll hut (toll 2014: 6 EUR per vehicle). Continue up the valley to the large parking lot at the mouth of the Valle Santa Maria.

Die beiden Bäche überqueren und über den markierten Wanderweg durch schönen Laubwald bis zu einer Kreuzung folgen. Rechts der Beschilderung 'Biv. Gervasutti' absteigend zum Bachbett folgen, den Bach überqueren und kurz nach SE zu einer Forststrasse wandern, der Forststrasse kurz folgen um dann wieder ins Bachbett abzusteigen. In der aktuellen Tabaccomap ist noch die alte Wegführung eingezeichnet - dieser Weg ist jedoch aufgelassen. Am westlichen Ufer steil aufsteigen und in einen langen linksbogen etwa 200hm hinauf bis der Weg absteigend ins Valle Santa Maria führt. Bald wieder steil hinauf bis sich das Tal weitet - hier kann man erstmals über einen von links kommenden Bachlauf ins Bachbett abklettern. Abzweigung vom Weg etwa auf 1290m.

Cross the two streams and follow the marked trail through beautiful deciduous forest to a crossroads. On the right, follow the signs 'Biv. Gervasutti' descending to the streambed, cross the stream and hike shortly to the SE to a forest road, follow the forest road briefly and then descend again to the streambed. In the current tabaccomap the old path is still marked - however, this path has been abandoned. Climb steeply up the western bank and in a long left turn climb about 200m until the path descends into Valle Santa Maria. Soon steeply up again until the valley widens - here you can downclimb for the first time over a streambed coming from the left. Branch off from the path at about 1290m.

Etwa 15min Wandern/Abklettern bis sich das Tal zur Klamm verengt. Ab hier keine Fluchtmöglichkeit mehr. Es folgen 8 Abseiler (max. 6m) von Sanduhrschlingen oder 6mm Felsschrauben mit 2 Kettengliedern bevor sich die Klamm kurz öffnet und man rechts über einen mit Steinmännern markierten Steig aussteigen könnte. Es folgen noch zwei schöne Wasserfälle wobei der erste kurz durch den Wasserstrahl führt. Danach endet die Schlucht und man erreicht bald den Wanderweg vom Zustieg.

About 15 minutes of hiking/downclimbing until the valley narrows into a gorge. From here there is no escape route. This is followed by 8 rappels (max. 6m) of hourglass slings or 6mm rock bolts with 2 chain links before the gorge opens up briefly and you can exit on the right via a path marked with cairns. Two more beautiful waterfalls follow, the first of which leads briefly through the water jet. The canyon then exits and you soon reach the hiking trail from the access point.

Wie Aufstieg - alternativ kann man auch über einen Steig auf der orogr. linken Seite des Tals absteigen.

Ascent - alternatively you can descend via a path on the orographic left side of the valley.
