From Lecco on the new road in Valsassina to Ballabio. From there in western direction and many serpentines up to Piani Resinelli. Cross Piazza della Chiesa and go straight on downhill on a slightly sloping road in the direction of "La Montanina".\nPass the church of La Montanina on the upper left (i.e. south) (so do not follow the third signpost "La Montanina" downhill on the right) and always descend on the bad tarred road until you reach a road extension in Campelli above a rectangular water basin (950 m a.s.l.). Here begins the access on foot.\nNote: In 2012, about 100 meters after the turnoff to the church of La Montanina, the continuation on the private road was closed to motor vehicles with the appropriate traffic sign.

Down to the rectangular water basin and along below it in a northerly direction. Follow the path on the water conduit, don't cross the Val di Ratti and go down till reaching a small hydroelectric power station.

Descending this route requires completing the final section of Val Monastero sup.
