Vom Parkplatz hinunter zur Brandenberger Ache bis zur Brücke (Trauersteg). Von hier aus kann man der Ache flussaufwärts entweder entlang der Schotterstraße (links) oder dem Wanderweg (rechts) bis zur nächsten Brücke folgen (an dieser Stelle mündet die Weißache in die Brandenberger Ache). Hier dann dem Forstweg nach oben folgen (verläuft parallel zur Weißache taleinwärts). An den Abzweigungen immer links halten. Vorbei an der Weittal-Jagdhütte bis kurz vor die Weittalalm. Hier befindet sich der Einstieg (leicht über eine kleine Wiese vom Forstweg aus zu erreichen).

From the parking lot down to the Brandenberger Ache as far as the bridge (Trauersteg). From here you can follow the Ache upstream either along the gravel road (left) or the hiking trail (right) to the next bridge (at this point the Weißache flows into the Brandenberger Ache). Then follow the forest path upwards (runs parallel to the Weißache into the valley). Always keep left at the junctions. Pass the Weittal hunting lodge until shortly before the Weittalalm. This is the entry point (easy to reach via a small meadow from the forest path).

Die Schlucht beginnt mit vielen kleinen Gumpen, die perfekt zum Abkühlen an heißen Sommertagen sind. Die höheren Abseilstellen sind alle mit Kettenständen ausgerüstet, wobei diese leider einen unschönen Materialmix aufweisen (Edelstahl Klebeanker an verzinkten Ketten, und teilweise unedlen Ankern, die daher schon sehr rostig bzw. korrodiert sind)! Der interessanteste Teil ist das letzte Drittel der Tour, in dem sich sehr schön grün bemooste Abseiler befinden. Die Schlucht endet mit einer Dopppelkaskade, nach der man in das Bachbett der Weißache gelangt. Einige kleine Rutschen und Sprünge sind möglich. Für die höchste Abseilstelle werden etwa 2x25m Seil benötigt.

The canyon begins with many small pools that are perfect for cooling off on hot summer days. The higher rappelling points are all equipped with chain anchors, though unfortunately these feature an unsightly mix of materials (stainless steel adhesive anchors attached to galvanized chains, and in some cases non-stainless anchors that are already quite rusty or corroded)! The most interesting part is the last third of the route, which features rappels covered in beautiful green moss. The canyon exits with a double cascade, after which you reach the streambed of the Weißache. A few small slides and jumps are possible. For the highest rappelling point, you’ll need about 2x25m of ropes.

Der Weittalbach mündet in die Weißache. Hier kann man entweder der Weißache bis zur Mündung in die Brandenberger Ache folgen, oder rechts aussteigen und dem Forstweg zurück zum Parkplatz folgen.
