Summary:
Short but nice and narrow stream.
June - October
Summary:
Short but nice and narrow stream.
Access:
From the A26 highway, take the exit for Villadossola and follow signs for Valle Antrona. Drive up the valley past the hamlet of Rivera. Cross a bridge over the Ovesca stream and, after about 500 m, park on the left near a festival/recreational area.
Approach (30 min):
Behind the chapel in the festival area, hike up through the woods following a trail (which becomes clearer further up) until reaching the intake tunnel and the streambed.
Tour (3 h):
No particular difficulty. Some unequipped rappels (abseils) to be downclimbed or descended using natural anchors.
Return (5 min):
Exit directly at the car.
Hydrology:
Almost non-existent flow rate due to a water intake at the start. To be done as a fallback option when other streams are impassable.
