We were denied access by the lady at the desk. She said the hunters in the area do not want any more canyoneers in the canyon. Very unfortunate.

Fun trip. Bolted for guiding. Some nice jumps, slides, and abseils. Very open and low commitment. Could walk up to the walking path in a lot of places. It is worth it if you’re close by.

In short, for us, the tour was not worth it. After walking up on the forest road the approach becomes very steep and unpleasant. There is no clear pathway to the canyon, and the terrain is sometimes too steep to walk. The canyon itself has the mentioned rappels. But, in normal conditions they are almost all out of the water flow and indeed have a lot of friction/loose rock. We exited via the walking path before the final 50m abseil. From the boundary stone we took 2 hours to descend to the walking path. All relais and hooks are in good condition. Once you’ve found the first one the rest becomes easier to find. Here are some additions to make the approach a bit more doable: -From the end of the forest road walk through the woods to the boundary stone (190/2). This is very steep and there is no clear pathway. Coordinates boundary stone: 47.671750, 12.653020 -From here you can descent into the dry canyon using trees and rope or descent further through the woods. -Keep descending through the dry canyon until you reach the water at: 47.671511, 12.651226 -Here you can downclimb to the right of the canyon before it becomes vertical and where you find the first hooks.

When we went to look the canyon was completely dry. Really only gets water after a few days of rain.

For the upper part, make sure to take the path to the right that is located in the upper part of the hair pin corner at the hunters cabin (see pictures). For the lower part, take the path to the right in the lower part of the hairpin. Be sure to check you have the right path before continuing :) You can also park the car at the end of the asphalt road. This is only about a 20 minute hike extra from the car to the hunters cabin.

Nice canyon, the chains between the anchors are very rusty. We placed a new anchor

RAS. Very nice tour, definitely worth it. Normal water flow. Approach 30 min you need to have a good pace. Canyon can be done faster in normal conditions and with an efficient group ~1,5-2 hours. All rappels are numbered and correspond with the topo which makes orientation very easy.
