Auf der N-240 von Lleida oder auf der A-138 von Frankreich durch debn Tunnel von Bielsa über Ainsa nach Barbastro. In Rodellar der Beschilderung zum Barranco Mascun folgen. Wir kommen hinunter zum Bach, queren diesen und kommen zur Quelle auf der rechten (orograf. linken) Seite. Weiter geht es nordwärts, wir passieren den Bco Fornocal de Andrebot, wo man links Richtung Barrasil und Gorgas Negras hinaufsteigt und kommen dann nach längerer Wegstrecke am orograf. linken Ufer zu der Stelle, wo der Weg den Bachlauf kreuzt, um jenseits hinauf zu ziehen in Richtung Otin (La Costera-Weg). Wir erreichen die Hochfläche, können evtl. auf den Felsbändern über der Schlucht Geier sitzen sehen und schauen hinunter in den Aufenthaltsort der Zauberer (Maurisch Maskhun). Bei etwas Glück ragen dahinter am Horizont die schneebedeckten Gipfel des Pyrenäenhauptkammes auf. Der Weg läuft zeitweise zwischen Steinmäuerchen und wir kommen zu 2 großen Eichen. Der Weg führt nun abwärts und quert eine Trockenrinne. An dieser rechts hinunter würden wir zum Einstieg des Bco. Otin kommen..
Wir queren die Rinne jedoch und passieren die aufgegebene Ortschaft Otin im Osten derselben. 2 Rinnsale werden gekreuzt dann geht es links an einem freistehenden Haus vorbei. Wir sind nun auf einem Feldweg, rechts sehen wir eine Quellfassung mit Pumpe ("Wasser unbehandelt"). Der Weg steigt leicht an, wir queren einen Geländerücken und passieren die Abzweigung eines Weges, der zum Einstieg in den Raisin oder auf die Fajas del Mascun führen würde. In lichtem Wald geht es nun leicht bergauf zu einen flachen Sattel. Einige Meter vor diesem Sattel gehen rechts Spuren ab (Wegpunkt !) die in östlicher Richtung direkt zum Einstieg in den Mascun Superior führen. In Rodellar, follow the signs to Barranco Mascun. We come down to the stream, cross it and come to the spring on the right (orographic left) side. Continue northwards, passing the Bco Fornocal de Andrebot, where you climb up to the left towards Barrasil and Gorgas Negras and then, after a long stretch on the orographic left bank, you come to the point where the path crosses the stream to go up the other side towards Otin (La Costera path). We reach the plateau, may be able to see vultures sitting on the rocky ledges above the canyon and look down into the abode of the wizards (Moorish Maskhun). With a bit of luck, the snow-covered peaks of the main Pyrenean ridge will loom on the horizon behind you. The path walks between stone walls at times and we come to 2 large oak trees. The path now descends and crosses a dry gully. Down this to the right we would come to the entry of the Bco. Otin.
However, we cross the chute and pass the abandoned village of Otin to the east of it. We cross 2 rivulets and then turn left past a detached house. We are now on a field path, on the right we see a spring with a pump ("untreated water"). The path climbs slightly, we cross a ridge and pass the junction of a path that would lead to the entry to the Raisin or the Fajas del Mascun. The path now climbs slightly in sparse forest to a flat saddle. A few meters before this saddle, tracks turn off to the right (waypoint !) which lead in an easterly direction directly to the entry to the Mascun Superior. Der Einstieg in den Saltadero de las Lañas erfolgt in aller Regel mit einem Sprung (7m). Nach einem weiteren Hüpfer (1,5m) ein 18m - Trockenabseiler auf ein Band, von dem man wieder 3m springen kann.
Sollte der Zustieg überlaufen sein (vor allem an Wochenenden) kann man von der Felsnase links vorne 33m am Stück abseilen, so man denn ein 35mSeil dabei hat.
Eine dritte Möglichkeit ist, an der linken Kante noch ein Stück weiter zu gehen durch das Gebüsch (max. 30 m) und dann rechts durch eine kurze Rinne auf einen Erdkegel hinab zu seilen (ca. 10m).
Nun folgen die Cascadas de Peña Guara, die - wie schon gesagt - links umgangen werden können.
Der 7m-Abseiler zu Beginn ist springbar - Absprung rutschig! -, aber weit vor über die Rampe am Fuß des Wasserfalls und ziemlich nahe an die linke Gumpenwand.
Es folgt eine längere Laufstrecke, von rechts kommt der Bco. Raisin herein.
Noch einige Rampen, die wir im versinterten Bachbett ablaufen oder springen können, dann treten wir in eine Engstelle ein, die uns durch eine hohe und eindrucksvolle Durchgangsgrotte ("Sala") leitet.
Es folgen die "Oscuros de Otin" mit einer Reihe weiterer Abseiler (Vorsicht: beim Ersten: Speckstein, der Stand also aalglatt), ua. auch kleiner Sprung in den "Pozo Negro", den schwarzen Topf. Schließlich bringt uns ein längerer Abseiler über einen versinterten Baumstamm wieder an's Licht, ein letzter Sprung (ca. 5m) dann schwimmen wir aus dem Dunkelbereich hinaus. Es folgen kleinere Stufen, dann der letzte Abseiler bei dem Topf, in den das Wasser in einem durch den Felsen geteilten Strahl hinunterfällt (Achtung: Nicht springbar - schon mehrere schwere Unfälle hier).
Nun schließt sich der Mascun inferior an (vgl. ggf dortige Beschreibung). Von links kommt der Bco. os Fornazos über eine Felswand herunter, dann nach einer "Prachtstraße" und einer großen Felssäule rechts der Weg von Otin durch den Canal d'o Turno. Nun geht man normalerweise rechts aus dem Bachbett den Weg bis zum Bco. Otin, kann aber auch im Bachbett bleiben - Fornocal d'Otin im "Gran Circo". Hinweisen will ich hier noch auf die Situation mit dem großen Gumpen, der durch ein Felsen fast völlig abgeschlossen wird. Obwohl Licht durchschimmert, lieber nicht durchtauchen, sondern links oberirdisch durch den Spalt. Ich hatte mich be einen Durchtauchversuch fast zwischen Fels und Boden festgefressen und kam zwar jenseits noch heraus, aber in ziemlicher Panik.
Es folgt die Karstquelle unterhalb des letzten Falls des Bco. Otin und dann laufen und klettern wir hinaus, bis wir auf den (Zustiegs-) Weg treffen, der von der Ortschaft Otin herunterkommt und das Bachbett kreuzt.
The entry into the Saltadero de las Lañas is usually made with a jump (7m). After another jump (1.5m), there is an 18m dry abseil onto a ledge, from which you can jump another 3m.
If the access is overcrowded (especially at weekends), you can rappel 33m in one go from the rocky outcrop on the front left, provided you have a 35m rope with you.

Smaller steps follow, then the last rappel at the pot into which the water falls in a rappel divided by the rock (caution: not jumpable - already several serious accidents here).
This is followed by the Mascun inferior (see description there if necessary). From the left, the Bco. os Fornazos comes down over a rock face, then after a "boulevard" and a large rock pillar on the right, the path from Otin through the Canal d'o Turno.
