Von Chambery auf der N 6 in (südlicher) Richtung bis Les Echelles (24 km ab Chambery). Von dort weiter auf der N 6 (nun in westlicher Richtung) bis Chailles (weitere 5 km). (oberen) Fahrzeugs mit Info-Tafel.\nMit dem zweiten etw 3,5 km weiter hinunter bis zur Kreuzung bei St Beron. Hier li. ab auf die D 203 in (südwestl.) Richtung St Albin. Nach der Brücke über den Guiers immer li. halten in Richtung Voissant. Nach Überquerung eines kleinen Flusses bald li. ab nach Verchere. Durch den Weiler durch, in Richtung Guiers hinab, an der T-Kreuzung rechts und abwärts. Vor die Straße wieder ansteigt, an geeigneter Stelle das untere Fahrzeug abstellen.
From Chambery on the N 6 in (southern) direction to Les Echelles (24 km from Chambery). From there, continue on the N6 (now in a westerly direction) to Chailles (another 5 km). About 500 m after Chailles you can see the dam on the left side; next to the road there is a big place to park the 1st (upper) car with an information board.\nWith the second sth continue 3.5 km down to the crossing at St Beron. Here turn left onto the D 203 in (southwest) direction St Albin. After the bridge over the Guiers keep left in the direction of Voissant. After crossing a small river soon turn left to Verchere. Go through the hamlet, down towards Guiers, turn right at the T-junction and go downhill. Before the road rises again, park the lower vehicle at a suitable place.

Nach der aktuellen Reglementierung steigt man noch vor den Überleitungszuläufen des Kanals in den Guiers an Seilen li. steil hinauf zum Kanal (auf dem Schild beim oberen Fahrzeug als "echappatoire" bezeichnet)und folgt diesem bis zum zweiten Fahrzeug (so descente-canyon.com). Besser dem Weg nach oben zur Straße folgen, der den Kanal kreuzt.
Dieser Ausstieg erfolgt unmittelbar vor einem Siphon, den man ohnehin umgehen muss und ist durch eine einzementierte Eisenstange (früher offenbar Warnschild) erkennbar.
Der herkömmliche (bequemere) Ausstieg (auf besagtem und insoweit nicht mehr aktuellem Schild "sortie") erfolgte etwa 300 m später nach Öffnung der Schlucht (100 m danach) li. hinauf und unter den großen Wasserrohren hindurch zum Auto. Probleme kann es hier jetzt mit den Fischern geben.
According to the current regulations, before the canal crossings in the Guiers, follow the path left on ropes up to the canal (called "echappatoire" on the signs at the top vehicle) and follow it to the second vehicle (according to descente-canyon.com).
