Von Biasca auf der Bundesstraße etwa 13 km in Richtung Nord-Ost (Gotthard). Gut 5 km nach Durchfahren der Ortschaft Giornico links abbiegen und in westlicher Richtung hinauf nach Chironico. Am Ortseingang (auf der oben genannten CNS Karte bei der Höhenangabe "787") nehmen wir die links abgehende Straße, die uns in einem weiten Bogen an die Südseite der Ortschaft Chironico führt. Hier stellen wir rechts unterhalb der Straße das Auto auf dem Parkplatz ab.

From Biasca on the main road for about 13 km in north-east direction (Gotthard). A good 5 km after passing through the village of Giornico, turn left and head west up to Chironico. At the entrance of the village (on the above mentioned CNS map at the altitude "787") we take the road on the left that leads us in a wide curve to the south side of the village of Chironico. Vom Parkplatz auf der Straße in südöstlicher Richtung - am kleinen Stausee entlang - zum Staudamm mit Betriebshaus, links an diesem vorbei und dann in einem Rechtsbogen hinunter an das Gerinne. Zustieg unmittelbar am waagrecht herausschießenden Wasserstrahl mit einem 7-m-Sprung möglich.

Ziemlich zu Beginn bietet sich kernige eine 22 m - Rutsche an. Direkt danach li. Ausstiegsmöglichkeit. Nach Nizzola beginnt hier "the descent into hell". Die Schwierigkeit ergibt sich aus dem Umstand, dass man nach dem Hineinseilen in die Engstelle in der Wassergischt einenen Handlauf einrichten muss und der folgende 30-m-Abseiler im unteren Bereich in eine Rinne (mit vollem Wasserdruck) führt, aus der man sich tunlichst heraushalten sollte (Pendelgrätsche). Der Ticinetto gehört trotz seiner geringen Länge zu den sportlich wie landschaftlich sehr attraktiven Canyons des Tessin. Wasserableitung mit kleinem Staubecken oberhalb des Einstiegs. Vor und nach(!)der Tour deshalb mit Kraftwerksbetreiber (SES) Kontakt aufnehmen: Tel. 0041(0)917569301 Hinsichtlich der Wassermenge auch den Überlauf aus dem Staubecken beachten! (insofern irrt Nizzola, wenn er nur auf den Gumpen nach der Spundwand abstellt).

An der Wasserableitung rechts über die Eisenleiter hinaus, dann über den Bach nach links queren und unter dem großen Fallrohr beginnend den Fußweg hinauf zum Einstieg.
