Wie beim V. Gr. inf.: Von Locarno kommend bei Ponte Brola in das Maggia-Tal abbbiegen. Nach ca. 4,5 km überquert man den aus dem Val Grande kommenden Bach und biegt unmittelbar nach der Brücke re. auf einen Feldweg ab. Dieser wird bis zu seinem Ende, die letzten Meter quer durch ein landwirtschaftliches Anwesen, befahren. Nun am Wegesrand oberhalb des Baches Auto abstellen. Eine alternative Zufahrt geht über die Teerstraße, die vor der Brücke re. weggeht. Hier vor der Schranke an geeigneter Stelle parken.

As for the V. Gr. inf.: Coming from Locarno, turn into the Maggia valley at Ponte Brola. After about 4.5 km, cross the stream coming from the Val Grande and turn right immediately after the bridge onto a dirt road. Follow this until the exit, the last few meters across an agricultural estate. Now park your car at the edge of the path above the stream. An alternative access is via the tarred road, which goes off to the right before the bridge. Park here in a suitable place in front of the barrier.

Zunächst wie beim Val Gr. inf.: Vom abgestellten Auto auf dem Weg weiter bachaufwärts, re. haltend durch das Anwesen eines "Sammlers" und auf einer Brücke über den Bach. Nach der Brücke auf der Teerstraße aufwärts. Diese kreuzt das Val Grande erneut. Wo man einige Häuser erreicht, geht es auf einem Maultierpfad unter Esskastanienbäumen re. hinauf in Richtung Salvabella - offenbar eine Art Kalvarienbergweg. An einer markanten Linkskurve (520m üNN) geht unter Bäumen rechts ein Steig ab, der den Beginn des Abstiegs zum Einstieg in den unteren Abschnitt des Val Grande bedeutet.\nWir gehen aber den Hauptweg weiter aufwärts, passieren die paar Häuser des Weilers Dömna (60m ÜNN) und kommen auf 765m üNN an eine Verzweigung des Weges mit Wegweiser: Wir folgen der Weisung "Cortascia, Chiegg" nach rechts und erreichen auf 800m üNN die steinerne Brücke über unseren Bach - davor rechts ein etwas größerer Bildstock. Links der Brücke geht es in einer Rinne hinunter zum Einstieg.

Initially as for Val Gr. inferiore: from the parked car on the path continue upstream, keeping right through the property of a "collector" and on a bridge over the creek. To the left of the bridge, a chute leads down to the entry.

An der Steinbrücke angekommen (ca. 770Hm) genießt man gleich die wunderbare Aussicht --> um den Abstieg in den Bach vor der Brücke li sicher zu gestalten sollte ein Seil am Geländer eingerichtet werden ca. 15m --> danach geht es gleich los mit den Abseilen in offenen Gelände R4, C37, C25, R30, R26 --> über die nächsten kleinen Stufen kann gerutscht oder abgestiegen werden --> anschließend folgt ein Abseiler li ca. 27m bevor es enger wird --> in die Engstelle wird li ca. 5m abgeseilt (großer verklemmter Baum) --> es folgen mehrere unkomplizierte Abseilstellen dazwischen immer wieder kurze Gehpassagen und kleine Klettereien --> an den großen Felsblöcken angekommen hat man die Möglichkeit li den Notausstieg zu nehmen --> nach den Felsbogen kommt li ein Zufluss dazu und ein großen Klemmblock mit der Schlüsselstelle C26 li (das Ankunftsbecken ist schmal und turbulent --> bei viel Wasser gefährlich) --> nach dieser atemberaubender Stelle kommt noch eine kleine enge Passage --> die nächsten Abseilstellen sind nicht mehr schwierig --> dazwischen gibt es immer wieder Geh- und Abkletterstellen --> am Schluss der superiore wird das Gelände flacher --> an einer offenen Stelle (leichte li Biegung) hat man auf ca. 450Hm re den Ausstieg.

Zustieg aus der Schlucht --> oben angekommen geht es nach li und zurück auf den schon vorher hochgegangenen Wanderweg --> diese bis zum Parkplatz folgen --> 2.
