From Varallo, take the Val Mastallone road and follow it to Fobello, then continue to the end of the road near Santa Maria, where you leave it at the last parking lot (la Gazza)

From the parking there are two paths; follow the one on the left (515 CAI), which almost runs alongside the Mastallone stream, passing through a pretty village. Then, cross a bridge over the Mastallone and go up the Piane valley. After a 15-minute climb, you'll find a hut on the right, continue until the valley levels out, then descend a few meters from the path to the stream. 20 min.

The start is on the flat riverbed with a few boulders, then the stream narrows, you find C6 (right) (single point), then C10 (perhaps toboggan, right), toboggan 4m. You arrive at the highest and more technical waterfall: MC7 (left, single point) leads to the C17 left, narrow passage where it is difficult to stand upright, then C30 left under a horsetail waterfall. -This sequence, in cases of high water flow, is avoidable with a long handrail on the left, which leads to C30 left (partially out of the water flow)- Then C7 (left, single point), C18 (right, possible dry toboggan on the right), C10 (left), MC from tree (right) with subsequent relay C23 (right, turbulent pool)+C15 (left, narrow). then final C5 (left, single point, possible jump) and you arrive at the confluence with the Mastallone.

You continue in the riverbed for 2 min. then exit on the left, to the pretty village of "Campo" and the car park (5 min.)
