Très belles cascades au départ. Ensuite assez horizontal, de la marche. Dernière cascade jolie.

Beautiful waterfalls at the start. Then it’s mostly flat, with some walking. The last waterfall is pretty.

Alle Installationen sind o.K. Schöner Abstieg bei idealen Verhältnissen. Wasserstand normal, leicht höher als üblich. Kaum rutschig.

All setups are fine. A nice descent in ideal conditions. Water level is normal, slightly higher than usual. Barely slippery.

Guter Wasserstand. Viel sauberes kühles Wasser, ist wohl noch etwas Schneeschmelze mit drin. Alle Ankerpunkte i.O. Nur wenig rutschig.

Water level is good. Plenty of clean, cool water—probably still has some snowmelt mixed in. All anchor points are in good condition. Only slightly slippery.

Guter Wasserstand in der Schlucht. Die Ausrüstung ist uneinheitlich … es gibt ein paar alte Teile. Ein Haken ist beim Abseilen ausgebrochen … Tolle Stimmung! Zum Glück hat der zweite Haken gehalten, der mit einem Stück Seil verbunden war. Es war an der Stelle mit dem Klemmblock. Ansonsten eine wirklich schöne Tour. Ein bisschen überbewertet, aber dennoch legendär. Die Schlucht hätte ein paar zusätzliche Anker-Punkte verdient, einige davon stammen wohl noch aus der Zeit der Eröffnung. Bei der nächsten Wiederholung wäre eine Bohrmaschine angebracht. In der Mitte der Schlucht gibt es eine Zone mit erhöhter Steinschlaggefahr, Vorsicht ist angebracht.

Good water level in the canyon. The gear is a mixed bag… there are a few old pieces. An anchor snapped while rappelling… Great atmosphere! Luckily, the second anchor—which was connected to a piece of rope—held. It was at the spot with the clamping block. Otherwise, a really beautiful route. A bit overrated, but still legendary. The canyon could use a few more anchor points; some of them probably date back to when it first opened. A drill would be useful the next time we do this route. In the middle of the canyon, there’s an area with an increased risk of rockfall—caution is advised.

Trockene Schlucht. Es gab einige Pools mit (Dreck) Wasser gefüllt, die nicht alle umgangen werden konnten. Wenn man aber in der Region ist, so lohnt sich ein Abstieg trotzdem. Wir sind erst nach der Queerung der Piste über den Bach steil das dornige Bort hoch ausgestiegen, kurz vor der Autobahn und dann über die Piste zurück zum Auto. Glücklicherweise gibt es in der Region einige frei zugängliche Thermalquellen, wo man sich im heissen Wasser nach der Schlucht wieder sauber baden kann.

Dry canyon. There were a few pools filled with (muddy) water, not all of which could be bypassed. But if you’re in the area, it’s still worth the hike down. After crossing the trail over the stream, we climbed steeply up the thorny slope, just before the highway, and then followed the trail back to the car. Fortunately, there are several freely accessible hot springs in the area where you can wash up in the hot water after hiking through the canyon.
