Von Biasca fährt man Richtung Norden in die Ortschaft Malvaglia (zweite Einfahrt). Direkt bei der Brücke gibt es kleine Parkmöglichkeiten für das Überstellungsfahrzeug (ist nur notwendig, wenn man den oberen und unteren Teil bzw. unteren Teil der Tor macht). In der Ortschaft (ca. 100m vor dem Bach) zweigt eine Bergstraße recht hoch zu den Häusern von Tagnugna (Schild Val Malvaglia und Pontirone). Nach einigen Serpentinen/Hm kommt auf 591m eine scharfe Rechtskurve mit einem Bankerl und Parkmöglichkeit für 3-4 PKW. Hier ist der Ausstiegsparkplatz (Überstellungsfahrzeug) für den oberen Teil der Schlucht. Mit dem zweiten PKW fährt man weiter hoch bis zu den zwei Brücken (Holz und Stein) bei Malvaglia/Chiesa auf 825m. Direkt vor der Holzbrücke gibt es Parkmöglichkeiten für mehrere PKW. (Alternativ kann auch bei der Ausstiegsbrücke/Kurve Tagnugna wo der PKW steht über einen Wanderweg (Ponte Laù, Pontei, Sciarcel) auf der orographisch rechten Schluchtenseite ca. 1,5h zum Einstieg hochgewandert werden.)

From Biasca, drive north to the village of Malvaglia (second entrance). There are small parking facilities for the shuttle car right by the bridge (only necessary if you do the upper and lower part or lower part of the gate). In the village (approx. 100m before the stream) a mountain road branches off quite high up to the houses of Tagnugna (signs Val Malvaglia and Pontirone). After a few hairpin bends, at 591m there is a sharp right-hand bend with a bench and parking for 3-4 cars. This is the parking exit (shuttle car) for the upper part of the canyon. With the second car, continue up to the two bridges (wooden and stone) at Malvaglia/Chiesa at 825m. There is parking for several cars directly in front of the wooden bridge. (Alternatively, you can hike up to the entry via a hiking trail (Ponte Laù, Pontei, Sciarcel) on the orographic right side of the gorge for approx. 1.5 hours from the exit bridge/bend at Tagnugna where the car is parked).

Vom Parkplatz bei den zwei Brücken (825m) folgt man der Bergstraße für ca. 150m bis man links einen unscheinbaren sehr steilen Pfad (zum Teil Fixseil) trifft, dieser führt der in Kürze zum Bach (790m) runter.

From the parking lot at the two bridges (825m), follow the mountain road for about 150m until you reach an inconspicuous, very steep path on the left (partly fixed ropes), which soon leads down to the stream (790m).

Der obere Teil der Malvaglia ist im Gegenteil zum aquatischeren und technischeren unteren Teil sehr unterhaltsam und bietet den Canyonauten mehrere Möglichkeiten zum Springen, rutschen oder abseilen. Dieser Abschnitt wird auch gerne Kommerziell geführt bzw. als Alternative gemacht, wenn andere Schluchten zu viel Wasser führen. Bis auf wenige Stellen kann meist auf das Seil verzichtet werden. Der Siphon (Klemmblock) am Schluss der Malvaglia superiore kann gut mittels Fixseil überstiegen werden und stellt normalerweise kein Problem dar. Nach dem Siphon kommt noch ein Abschnitt mit Blockgelände und ein kleiner 3m Sprung.

In contrast to the more aquatic and technical lower section, the upper part of the Malvaglia is very entertaining and offers canyoneers several opportunities to jump, slide or rappel. This part is also often done commercially or as an alternative when other canyons have too much water. With the exception of a few places, there is usually no need for ropes. The siphon (clamping block) at the end of the Malvaglia superiore can be easily climbed over using fixed ropes and is usually not a problem. After the siphon there is a part with boulder terrain and a small 3m jump.

Um vor dem unteren Abschnitt (Malvaglia inf.) aus der Schlucht auszusteigen haltet man bei den Wasserleitungen Ausschau nach einem steilen Pfad auf der linken Schluchtenseite. Dieser Pfad führt dann bis zur Steinbrücke hoch. !!!Achtung!!! Ab der Steinbrücke fängt der untere Teil an (2x50m Seile notwendig! Siehe Malvaglia inferiore). Von der Steinbrücke links zurück zum Parkplatz (Überstellungsfahrzeug) bei den Häusern von Tagnugna.

To get out of the canyon before the lower part (Malvaglia inferiore), look out for a steep path on the left side of the canyon by the water pipes. This path then leads up to the stone bridge. !!!Attention!!! From the stone bridge the lower part begins (2x50m rappels necessary! See Malvaglia inferiore). From the stone bridge turn left back to the parking lot (shuttle car) at the houses of Tagnugna.
