This is already done on other canyoning websites like ropewiki, and it could be a picture of the best feature of the canyon, like the biggest waterfall, etc. By default this could be the first picture of the canyon. It should be visible in the canyon detail page, and also in the favorites when you view a list. On the main favorites list (where you see the lists), this should also be the image that is shown for the canyons in a list (currently it is the first image of a canyon anyways). Why: If I prepare a trip to an area I don't know - I want to quickly see all the canyons that are good for a first day canyon so e.g. Vertical under 3 Aquatic under 3 and Rope length max 40 m. Right now when clicking on an region or country we navigate to /list with a filter set I would add a filter icon behind the country/region, so when you press the filter you will get to the /list with the filter set. We should add the option "IMPORTANT" to a canyon report, that will show the report in a sligtly highlighted color and make the report "for some time" sticky on top. But everything else says "create" which is a little misleading - even though I get the point that we "create" a new link - we could stick to the same words here like "link" and "link & new" for the buttons and the text. The challenge: Everyone assesses water levels differently based on their personal experience and preferences. :bulb: *Proposed Solution* *1. Increase Visibility* • Remove water level images from the regular gallery • Create dedicated "Water Levels" category (not in Media, in Canyon-View) • Or place prominently in canyon overview/description section *2. Community Rating System* • All registered users can rate water levels (scale 1-10) • Average rating calculated automatically • *The key feature:* Individual ratings remain visible! :dart: *Why This Works* If I see that "Jane Doe" (who I know dislikes high water) rates it 8/10, that tells me more than an unknown "WhiteWater-Expert" rating it 4/10. 1 x 👍 / 0 x 👎 = 1 Prio: 6 Add new field - dam/hydraulics in catchment area --> Bool field (yes/no) to be able to filter for that critera as well as making it easier to enter it - I feel like adding it in the current way is "taking too long" for people to do it. 0 x 👍 / 0 x 👎 = 0 Prio: 6 Create Warning for a whole region - currently we have two cases where it would be very practical to be able to connect a warning with a region and display it at every canyon of the region (it should be visible that the displayed warning is from the region not from the canyon) Examples right now: a) Hordes of spaniards in the ticino region who are not very sensitive with the locals b) General Reglementations in a region. E.g. Veneto region where Canyoning in the Belluno National Park is strictly forbidden and patrols are in place right now. c) Massive Thunderstorm and landslide in a valley - e.g. Maggia Valley in 2024.
