Von Annecy am Westufer des gleichnamigen Sees auf der D 909 (von der Autobahn besser um Annecy herum auf der D 16 zufahren) in Richtung Thônes bzw. La Clusaz. Bevor man (nach etwa 14 km) den Fluss Fier überquert, sieht man rechts der lange geradeaus verlaufenden Straße den Kriegerfriedhof "Cimitière militaire de Morette" mit dem "Musée de la resistance". Hier an geeigneter Stelle das Auto parken.
From Annecy on the western shore of the lake of the same name on the D 909 (from the highway it is better to drive around Annecy on the D 16) in the direction of Thônes or La Clusaz. Before you cross the river Fier (after about 14 km), you will see the war cemetery "Cimitière militaire de Morette" with the "Musée de la resistance" on the right of the long straight road. Park the car here in a suitable place.

Vom südlichen Ende des Kriegerfriedhos nehmen wir den GR 96 nach rechts und steigen auf einer Piste in westlicher Richtung relativ steil bergan. Die Piste macht zuerst eine Links-, später eine Rechts-Serpentine. Etwa 200 m danach zweigt nach einem leichten Linksbogen von dieser Piste ein Waldweg ab, der zu einem größeren Haus auf einer Lichtung führt. Wir folgen anfangs diesem Weg, queren aber dann unterhalb dieses Anwesens durch einen Fichtenstangen-Wald nach Westen und kommen zum Bachbett.
From the southern exit of Kriegerfriedhos we take the GR 96 to the right and climb relatively steeply on a path in a westerly direction. The track makes first a left, later a right serpentine. About 200 m later, after a slight bend to the left, a forest path branches off from this track and leads to a larger house in a clearing. We initially follow this path, but then cross below this property through a spruce pole forest to the west and come to the streambed.

Nach 3 kleineren Abseilern verleiht eine unterirdische Passage der "Schönen Unbekannten" ihren besonderen Reiz. Alternativ kann man aber auch außerhalb der Grotte abseilen. Danach kommen noch zwei attraktive längere Abseiler.
Eine Kombination mit der auf der gegenüberliegenden Talseite herabstürzenden Morette bietet sich an.
