In Maurach am Südende des Achensees in Richtung Pertisau fahren. 180m nach dem Kreisverkehr li. ab über das Gleis der Schmalspurbahn in die Weissenbachstraße. Wir fahren zum Ortsteil Lärchenwiese und durch diesen Ortsteil durch. Nach 700m (ab Bahngleis) erreichen wir den Waldrand.
Linkerhand vor uns liegt eine freie Wiese. Rechts am Waldrand eine Parkfläche, wo wir das Auto abstellen können.
In Maurach at the southern end of Lake Achensee, drive towards Pertisau. 180m after the traffic circle turn left over the track of the narrow-gauge railroad into Weissenbachstraße. We drive to the district of Lärchenwiese and through this district. After 700m (from the railroad track) we reach the edge of the forest.
On the left in front of us is an open meadow. On the right at the edge of the forest is a parking area where we can leave the car.

At the debris barrier on the left, follow the trail up to the forest path. Turn right here to a meadow and a playground. From here there are two options:
1) Keeping left, we come up to the entrance to the gorge. From here, take the approach path back to the car.
2) Follow the wide road on the right for a good 100 m, then turn left uphill to a meadow, cross it towards the forest and the mountain. Turn right to the car (20 min in total).

Die Haken sind in Ordnung. Vermutlich war schon jemand drin . Einen Haken haben wir ersetzt .
Achtung!!! Nicht auf oder an der Wiese vor dem vorletzten Haus mit Ferienwohnungen parken. Siehe Foto. Wurden vom Vermieter übel beschimpft. Den beschriebenen Parkplatz gibt es nicht mehr. Parkmöglichkeit evtl unterhalb bei der großen Wiese. Nette enge Schlucht mit 11 abseilen ca 1 Std.
The anchors are fine. Presumably someone has already been in there . We have replaced one anchor .
Attention!!! Do not park on or near the meadow in front of the penultimate house with vacation apartments. See photo. We were badly insulted by the landlord. The described parking lot no longer exists. Parking possibly below at the large meadow. Nice narrow canyon with 11 rappels about 1 hour.

Die ersten (Einzel-)Haken wackeln bereits, insgesamt ist die Ausrüstung nicht mehr zeitgemäß, eine komplette Sanierung wäre angebracht.
Wir sind nach 5 Tagen mit moderatem bis starken Regen bei einem erhöhten Wasserstand eingestiegen. Im Canyon extrem kurze Gehstrecken und viele kleine und drei höhere Abseilstellen. Etwas Holzverhau aber wenig störend. Bei diesem Wasserstand eine lohnenswerte Schlucht.
The first (single) anchors are already wobbly, the equipment is no longer up to date, a complete renovation would be appropriate.
We entered after 5 days of moderate to heavy rain at a higher water level. Extremely short walking passages in the canyon and many small and three higher abseils. A little bit of wood but not disturbing. A worthwhile canyon at this water level.

Après une nuit de pluie abondante, de nombreux autres canyons de la région étaient trop chargés, mais le Weissenbach avait un débit correct. Canyon très agréables, profondes et étroites, pas de marche dans les gorges. Un court trajet d'approche et un retour raisonnable sur une large piste forestière. Seuls les premiers mètres du chemin de retour à travers la forêt ne sont pas très clairs. Et l'équipement dans les gorges est tout de même assez archaïque.
