Von Turin auf der A 6 etwa 80 km in Richtung Savona. Die A 6 bei der Ausfahrt Ceva verlassen und auf die SS 28 in Richtung Ormea, Colle di Nava wechseln.\nSüdwärts geht es, vorbei an Garéssio nach Ormea (ca. 34 km ab Autobahn). Weiter auf der SS 28 und nach 4 km - unmittelbar nach der Ortschaft Cantarana - links ab auf die S.P. 216 in Richtung Colle di Caprauna.
Sofern man über 2 Fahrzeuge verfügt, stellt man das untere auf die freie Fläche, die man 100 m nach der Brücke über den Fluss Tanaro links abbiegend erreicht. Man schaut hier auf eine Öffnung eines Tunnels, an dem seit vielen Jahren nicht mehr weiter gebaut wird. Hier sollen aber auch Autoknacker zugange sein.
Mit dem zweiten oder einzigen Fahrzeug geht es weiter die Teerstraße in vielen Kurven bergan, bis man einen eingeschnittenen Bergsattel (links oben Kapelle) erreicht. Jenseits noch hundert Meter leicht abwärts und nach der Brücke über den Prale das Auto an geeigneter Stelle abstellen.

Nachdem sich die Schlucht geöffnet hat, geht man im oder neben dem Bachbett weiter, bis man am rechten Ufer blaue Markierungspunkte (Procanyon) sieht. Man folgt diesen, manchmal auch kletternd, bis wir auf einen unscheinbaren Pfad treffen, der von rechts kommt und dem nach links über das Bachbett folgen. Einige Meter am Gegenhang diesen Pfad aufsteigend stoßen wir auf eine Verzweigung.
Falls wir ein Fahrzeug auf dem Platz bei der Tunnelöffnung stehen haben, geht es weiter, den blauen Punkten folgend, abwärts bis zum Auto.
Wollen wir aber zu dem Auto oben, so nehmen wir den linken Pfad und steigen in Serpentinen aufwärts. Wir passieren einen Strommasten, bei dem nächsten geht es leicht abwärts und wir treffen auf die alte Straße (keine Teerdecke). Auf dieser geht es aufwärts, bis man knapp unterhalb des Sattels mit der Kapelle auf die neue Straße treffen. Je nachdem, wo wir das Auto abgestellt haben, folgen wir nun der neuen Straße weiter oder nehmen den Feldweg,der vor dem Hügel mit der Kapelle links führt, den Hügel dann nach rechts umrundet, hinunter zur Brücke am Einstieg und weiter nach Borgota Lunotti führt. Dieser Rückweg ist sehr angenehm, sodass man gut auf eine Autoumsetzung verzichten kann.
After the canyon has opened up, continue in or next to the streambed until you see blue markers (procanyon) on the right bank. Follow these, sometimes climbing, until you come to an inconspicuous path coming from the right and follow it to the left across the streambed. A few meters up this path on the opposite slope we come to a fork.
If you have a vehicle parked at the tunnel opening, continue downhill following the blue dots to the car.
However, if we want to get to the car at the top, we take the left-hand path and climb upwards in serpentines. We pass an electricity pylon, at the next one we descend slightly and reach the old road (no tarmac). Follow this uphill until you reach the new road just below the saddle with the chapel. Depending on where you parked the car, you can either continue along the new road or take the dirt road that turns left before the hill with the chapel, then goes around the hill to the right, down to the bridge at the entry point and on to Borgota Lunotti. This return route is very pleasant, so you can easily do without a shuttle.
