Von Perpignan auf der N 116 in's Tal der Têt in Richtung Prades. 47,2 km nach der Autobahn A 9 kommen wir, vorbei an Prades zum Kreisverkehr bei Villefranche de Conflent. Hier biegen wir ab auf die D116 und fahren in südlicher Richtung über Vernet Les Bains hinauf nach Casteil (7,5 km ab Kreisverkehr).\nWir fahren weiter auf der Route des Mariailles Richtung Col de Jou. Nach etwa 500 m quert die Straße den Bach Cady. Hier stellen wir das untere Auto ab.\nMit dem zweiten geht es weiter hinauf zum Col de Jou (1125 m üNN). Wir fahren etwa 2,7 km weiter Richtung Refuge de Mariailles, Font Freda zu einem langgestreckten Parkplatz für etwa 20 Fahrzeuge (etwa 300m nach Font Freda). Hier stellen wir das obere Auto ab (siehe auch https://www.wikiloc.com/canyoneering-trails/gorges-du-cady-inferior-13992471 ).
From Perpignan on the N 116 into the Têt valley in the direction of Prades. 47.2 km after the A 9 highway, we pass Prades and reach the traffic circle at Villefranche de Conflent. DC+, Eau très froide aujourd'hui Attention sur le retour,plusieurs passerelles sont détruites notamment la première que vous croiserais (plus proche de l'échelle) qui a subi un éboulement et des cairns et traits jaunes nous invite à passer par au dessus, c'est rapidement paumatoire et donc ne pas chercher a monter trop haut pour retrouver la passerelle suivante. On s’est garée au col de Jou. On a mis 1h pour monter au départ. L’itinéraire est facile. On a passé 4h dans le canyon (en équipant les tobs vu qu’on le connaissait pas). L’eau est vraiment froide ! Et ça glisse ! L’équipement est bon. Le débit permet de passer dans l’actif mais ça tabasse. A noter que globalement tout passe hors actif si besoin (en bricolant parfois sur des arbres à côté etc). A la toute fin, il y a un énorme bloc qu’il s’agit de désescalader par la gauche ou la droite. A gauche, il y a un siphon qu’on avait pas vu, et qu’on a découvert en mettant le pied dedans. Ça contourne beaucoup mieux par la droite. La marche retour est pénible, démarre bien avant la cascade du Cady, par un cairn en rive gauche, en hauteur. Il y a 3 cairns qui se suivent après. C’est long et parfois un peu fastidieux mais on ne s’est pas perdues. Ma trace gpx pour aider si besoin : https://www.visugpx.com/dB6h9jTB0SEt on a fait du stop pour remonter ensuite au col.

Entre débit correct et gros débit, ça passe partout dans l'actif mais ça tabasse... superbe canyon on a adoré. Un peu technique. On était précédé d'un père inconscient qui n'avait jamais fait le canyon, seul avec deux gosses d'une dizaine ou quinzaine d'année, avec apparemment juste un brin de corde vu son petit sac... Heureusement il y a souvent des relais hors d'eau, mais pas partout. Chemin de retour un peu paumatoir.
