Von Ajaccio auf der D 81 über Cargese in Richtung Piana, Porto. Etwa 7 km nach Cargese geht es rechts (ostwärts) ab und hinauf zum Weiler Revinda. Wir fahren aber zunächst weiter auf der D 81 noch 5,4 km in Richtung Piana, wo wir bei einer Feriensiedlung (?) unser ("unteres") Auto am Straßenrand abstellen. \nMit dem anderen Auto geht es wieder zurück und dann links hinauf nach Revinda auf 500m Höhe (6,8 km). Parken am besten vor der Kirche.
From Ajaccio on the D 81 via Cargese in the direction of Piana, Porto. About 7 km after Cargese, turn right (east) and go up to the hamlet of Revinda. But first we continue on the D 81 for another 5.4 km in the direction of Piana, where we park our ("lower") car on the side of the road at a vacation settlement (?). \nWith the other car we go back and then left up to Revinda at 500m altitude (6.8 km). Parking is best in front of the church.

Links (westlich) an der Kirche vorbei durch ein Gatter (bitte wieder schließen!) ca. 100 m auf der Piste in nordwestlicher Richtung, dann macht die Piste einen scharfen Rechtsknick und zieht in nordöstlicher Richtung hinab zum Niederwaldrand. Hier - anders als im Buch mit dem informativen Kartenausschnitt von Ayasse/Dubreuil beschrieben und skizziert - auf dem Forstweg weiter. Vorbei an einem Autowrack links unterhalb des Weges, vorbei an 2 Zufahrten; an einem Drahtzaun entlang kommt man nach ca. 300 m (ab Autowrack) wieder aus dem Niederwald auf eine Lichtung. 50 m vor(!) der Lichtung findet man links des Weges ein Steinmännchen und daneben einen Baum, in dessen Stamm 'LC' geritzt ist (longeant canyon - zum Canyon führend). Hier den Pfad hinab zum Bach.
Left (west) past the church through a gate (please close again!) about 100 m on the slope in a northwesterly direction, then the slope makes a sharp right turn and moves in a northeasterly direction down to the edge of the Niederwald. Here - contrary to what is described and sketched in the book with the informative map section of Ayasse/Dubreuil - continue on the forest road. Past a car wreck on the left below the path, past 2 access roads; along a wire fence you come after about 300 m (from the car wreck) out of the coppice again onto a clearing. 50 m before(!) the clearing you will find a cairn on the left side of the trail and next to it a tree with 'LC' carved into its trunk (longeant canyon - leading to the canyon). Take the path down to the creek.

Rechts in der Rinne wäre eigentlich nach etwa 45m (dann würden 2x50m Seil genügen) ein Umsteiger, doch sollte man vorsichtshalber Setzzeug mitnehmen, wenn man ihn benutzen will. Der Canyon wird nun sukzessive offener und bietet noch einige schöne Abseiler. Wo von rechts der Ruisseau de l'Umbertacciu einmündet, ist der Abstieg zu Ende.\n
In the streambed about 20 min/500m. to the place where the actual entry begins with a C3. After passing the narrows, we are above the C65. On the right in the chute would actually be after about 45m (then 2x50m rope would be enough) a changeover, but you should take precautionary setting gear if you want to use it. Früher stieg man weiter ab bis an den Fuß des Gegenhangs, wo der Bach nach SW knickt. Auf einer angenehmen Piste ging es dann jenseits hinauf zur Staße. Hier war jedoch Ärger vorprogrammiert, weil der Grundstückseigentümer äußerst unangenehm wurde, wenn man sich erwischen ließ. Ich konnte dies - 2x smily - bei meinen Ausstiegen (2006 u. 2009) vermeiden, aber ich hatte Glück.
Deshalb wurde in der Folge angeraten, den Bach bis zur Brücke der D81 hinunter zu laufen - 2 Stunden Ausstieg !
Nun gibt es aber einen Ausstieg hinauf zur D81, der keinen Ärger mit dem Grundbesitzer nach sich zieht - siehe ua. "Canyoning nel Mediterraneo" (S. 112). Dazu steigt man den von rechts einmündende Umbertacciu etwa 20m aufwärts und sucht dort links am Hang nach dem Beginn eines Pfades, der uns hinauf bringt zum Auto an der D81 . The path used to descend further to the foot of the opposite slope, where the stream bends to the SW. A pleasant slope then led up to the road on the other side. Here, however, trouble was inevitable because the landowner became extremely unpleasant if you got caught. I was able to avoid this - 2x smily - on my exits (2006 and 2009), but I was lucky.
As a result, I was advised to walk down the stream to the bridge of the D81 - 2 hours exit !
However, there is now an exit up to the D81 that does not involve any trouble with the landowner - see "Canyoning nel Mediterraneo" (p. 112). To do this, climb up the Umbertacciu, which joins from the right, for about 20m and look left on the slope for the start of a path that takes you up to the car on the D81 .
