Apparently only a small anonymous stream. Unexpectedly, there is a deep carving in a very particular rock, the Gonfolite. The canyon is short but the particular geology of the place will compensate for the lack.

From Varese take Via Monte Generoso and then Via dei Vignò (University of Insubria gym area), continue along Via dei Vignò up to a junction to 5 streets and park your car on the roadside in such a way that not obstruct circulation (45°47'50.3"N 8°51'30.1"E).

From the crossroad of 5 streets continue straight holding the right, where Via dei Vignò becomes dirt and enters the forest (direction Goccia d'oro Ranch). Continue for about 150 meters and after a wall of rock blocks reassemble on the left bank to earn the grass above. From the lawn skirt the fence of the houses, turn the corner and at a gate follow a trail that descends steep into the valley. You will enter the river at the beginning of the canyon.

After the last descent the canyon ends and the environment opens. Climb back into the woods on the right bank and go up through little tracks following the blue dots until you again intercept Via dei Vignò, with which you return to the cars.
