Auf der A-15 entweder von Norden (San Sebastian) oder ca. 18 km aus Richtung Pamplona kommend jeweils Ausfahrt Irurtzun. Von dieser Stadt auf der NA-7010 in Richtung Asiain. Nach ca. 7 km geht es bei Anoz westwärts ab in Richtung Goni.Wir bringen das eine Fahrzeug an den Endpunkt des Canyons, indem wir an der übernächsten Abzweigung südwärts halten in Richtung Ulzurrun, die Ortschaft in südwestlicher Richtung verlassen in Richtung Friedhof und Arteta-Quelle ('nacedero', nacimento). Die Zufahrt zur Artetaquelle und dem dortigen Parkplatz ist evtl. zeitweise mit Eisentoren versperrt. Dann Auto ca. 50 m vor dem ersten Tor rechts abstellen.
Mit dem zweiten Auto geht es über Ulzurrun zurück und in Serpentinen hinauf nach Goni. Wir durchfahren die Ortschaft und die Straße fällt dann nach einem Linksbogen in südlicher Richtung leicht bergab. Nach etwa 1 km überquert man den linken Zufluss zum Artazul, über den man einsteigen kann. Empfehlenswerter ist jedoch, noch ca. 1,5 km weiterzufahren bis die Straße wieder ein Bachbett vor einer Scheune überquert. Der Einstieg über diesen Bach bietet einen zusätzlichen attraktiven Abseiler. Auto 300m vor(!) der Brücke in Ausbuchtung links der Straße parken.

On the A-15 either from the north (San Sebastian) or approx. 18 km from Pamplona, take the Irurtzun exit. From this town, take the NA-7010 in the direction of Asiain. After approx. 7 km, turn west at Anoz in the direction of Goni and take one vehicle to the end of the canyon by turning south at the next but one junction in the direction of Ulzurrun, leaving the village in a south-westerly direction towards the cemetery and the Arteta spring ('nacedero', nacimento). The access road to the Arteta spring and the parking lot there may be temporarily blocked by iron gates. Then park your car approx. 50 m before the first gate on the right.
Take the second car back via Ulzurrun and up the winding road to Goni. We drive through the village and the road then descends slightly after a left turn in a southerly direction. After about 1 km, you cross the left tributary of the Artazul, which you can use to get in. However, it is more advisable to continue for another 1.5 km until the road crosses another streambed in front of a barn. Entry via this stream offers an additional attractive rappel. Park your car 300m before(!) the bridge in the bulge to the left of the road.

Attraktiver Abstieg, wenn Wasser fließt; ansonsten stinkende Gumpen, wo bei einer 'marmita trampa' das Herausklettern über einen Felsriegel schwierig werden kann (siehe video anno 2002. 2008 war dann ein Band auf dem Riegel). Obwohl die Gumpen in der Regel nicht allzu tief sind, bestehen einige Sprungmöglichkeiten, aber vorher genau checken, siehe https://www.facebook.com/groups/1614735605431701/permalink/3095865397318707/. Bei starkem Wasserdurchsatz sind die letzten Gumpen vor dem hohen Schlussabseiler durch die dann vorhandenen Rückläufe gefährlich (zuletzt tödliches Unglück anno 2018).
Die Klamm beginnt mit einem scharfkantigen 33m Abseiler, dann folgt eine 300m lange Gehpassage durch offenes Gelände bevor sich die Klamm wieder verengt. Bis zum Schlusswasserfall bewegt man sich ab hier in einer schönen, engen Klamm in der ein Wasserfall auf den nächsten folgt. Nach Prüfung ist sehr viel rutsch- bzw. springbar. Die Schlucht endet mit einen schönen, teilweise freihängenden 45m Wasserfall. Abseilstände links und rechts.
Attractive descent when water is flowing; otherwise stinking pools, where it can be difficult to climb out over a rock bar in a 'marmita trampa' (see video in 2002. In 2008 there was a ledge on the bar). When the water flow is strong, the last pools before the high final abseil are dangerous due to the backwaters (last fatal accident in 2018).
The gorge begins with a sharp-edged 33m rappel, followed by a 300m walking passage through open terrain before the gorge narrows again. Until the final waterfall, you move through a beautiful, narrow gorge in which one waterfall follows the next. After testing, there is a lot of slide and jumpable terrain. The canyon exits with a beautiful, partially free-hanging 45m waterfall. Abseiling stands to the left and right.
