Aus Deutschland: Vorbei an Mittenwald auf der B 2 nach Scharnitz, aus Österreich von Innsbruck vorbei an Seefeld über die B 177. Südöstlich der Isarbrücke abbiegen, die Eisenbahn unterqueren und nach 400m linkerhand Auto auf dem großen Parkplatz abstellen (Gebühr - anno 2025: 7 Euro/Tag). Wenn man noch 500m weiter fährt und Glück hat, findet man hinter der Isarbrücke rechts auch noch einen freien Parkplatz (ebenfalls Gebühr - anno 2025: 7 Euro/Tag). Alternatively park at Banger Park, ideal when the two canyons are combined.

From Germany: Pass Mittenwald on the B 2 to Scharnitz, from Austria from Innsbruck past Seefeld on the B 177. Turn southeast of the Isar bridge, cross under the railroad and after 400m turn left to park your car in the large parking lot (fee - anno 2025: 7 euros/day). If you drive another 500m and are lucky, you will also find a free parking lot on the right behind the Isar bridge (also fee - anno 2025: 7 euros/day). Alternatively park at Banger Park, ideal when the two canyons are combined.

Falls verfügbar, kann man auch mit dem Fahrrad bis zum Ausstieg fahren (ca. 1,3km). Vom Parkplatz die Hinterautalstraße weiter, die Isar queren und am orograf. re. Ufer weiter. 1,3 km nach dem Parkplatz queren wir erneut die Isar an das südliche Ufer und kommen nach weiteren 270 m zur Brücke über den Kreidengraben (Ausstieg). Möglich auch ein An- oder Rück-Marsch auf dem "Isarsteig" am orograf. linken Isarhang. 20 m nach der Brücke nehmen wir die Forststraße rechts hinauf. 800 m weiter beschreibt die Forststraße einen Linksbogen (1080 m üNN). Hier verlassen wir sie und nehmen den Weg, der in südlicher Richtung am Hinteren Kreidengraben entlang führt. Nach etwa 50m steigen wir in einer Mulde rechts hinunter zum Bach. Alternatively, after Teufelslochklamm, exit rb on a steep but very comfortable hunterstrail, cross a granite boulder, head into forest diagonally to alt. 1170m to join main trail, cross river, continue 200m, zigzag in a beautiful forest N, 50m down to reach Hinterer Kreidengraben after Teufelslochklamm.

If available, you can also cycle to the exit (approx. 1.3km). From the parking lot, continue along Hinterautalstraße, cross the Isar and continue along the orographic right bank. 1.3 km after the parking lot we cross the Isar again to the southern bank and after another 270 m we come to the bridge over the Kreidengraben (exit). It is also possible to walk to or back from the bridge on the "Isarsteig" on the orographic left bank of the Isar. 20 m after the bridge, we take the forest road up to the right. 800 m further on, the forest road bends to the left (1080 m above sea level). Here we leave it and take the path that leads south along the Hinterer Kreidengraben. After about 50 m, we descend in a hollow on the right down to the stream. Alternatively, after Teufelslochklamm, exit rb on a steep but very comfortable hunterstrail, cross a granite boulder, head into forest diagonally to alt. 1170m to join main trail, cross river, continue 200m, zigzag in a beautiful forest N, 50m down to reach Hinterer Kreidengraben after Teufelslochklamm.
