Von Hallein Richtung Bad Vigaun, dann weiter nach St.Koloman. Von dort der Tiefenbach- und Sommeraustraße bis zur Tauglbodenstraße folgen. Nahe dem Einstieg gibt es in einer Parkbucht Platz für 1-2 Autos. Sollte hier kein Platz mehr sein, kann auch 1km zuvor, beim Parkplatz "Lange Brücke" (https://maps.app.goo.gl/6Cj13C2xhxscvP5U9), oder 600m danach (https://maps.app.goo.gl/DM42UEfxxeJBs5A58) geparkt werden. Möchte man die gesamte Tauglklamm begehen, braucht man ein Überstellungsfahrzeug bei der Römerbrücke.

From Hallein toward Bad Vigaun, then continue on to St. Koloman. From there, follow Tiefenbachstraße and Sommeraustraße until you reach Tauglbodenstraße. Near the entry, there is a parking bay with space for 1–2 cars. If there’s no space here, you can also park 1 km before the trailhead at the “Lange Brücke” parking lot (https://maps.app.goo.gl/6Cj13C2xhxscvP5U9) or 600 m after it (https://maps.app.goo.gl/DM42UEfxxeJBs5A58). If you want to hike the entire Tauglklamm gorge, you’ll need a shuttle car at the Römerbrücke.

Vom Parkplatz bis zur Engklamm absteigen (gelbe Wegmarkierung "Tauglklamm"). Etwas oberhalb der kleinen Brücke findet man einen Baum mit Fixseil in die Schlucht hinunter (Stand 2026).

Descend from the parking lot to the gorge (yellow trail markers labeled "Tauglklamm"). Just above the small bridge, you'll find a tree with a fixed rope leading down into the canyon (as of 2026).

Nach dem Fixseil beim Einstieg wird kein Seil mehr benötigt (Stand 2026). Es folgt ein sehr schöner, ca. 20m eingeschnittener Schluchtenabschnitt im glattpolierten Kalkgestein mit mehreren kleinen Sprung- und Rutschmöglichkeiten. Teils sind auch Fixseile montiert. Kurz nach der Engstelle öffnet sich die Schlucht. Hier kann man links aussteigen (Canyon Ende) oder die lange Bachwanderung bis zur Römerbrücke fortsetzen (Alternatives Canyon Ende). (Es gibt auch eine Variante über den Gmainbach-Zufluss in die Taugl einzusteigen, mit mehreren kleinen Abseilern von 5-10m und dem Gmainbach-Wasserfall mit ca. 40m.)

After the fixed rope at the entry, no rope is needed (as of 2026). This is followed by a very beautiful, approximately 20-meter-long section of the canyon carved into smooth, polished limestone, with several small spots for jumping and slides. Fixed ropes are also installed in some places. Shortly after the narrowest point, the canyon opens up. Here, you can exit to the left (end of the canyon) or continue the long river walk to the Roman Bridge (alternative exit from the canyon). (There is also a variant that involves entering via the Gmainbach tributary to the Taugl, featuring several short rappels of 5–10 meters and the Gmainbach waterfall, which is approximately 40 meters high.)

Ausstieg orogr. links gleich nach der Engklamm: über einen Waldpfad vorbei an der kleinen Brücke und hoch zum Parkplatz. Bei den langen Varianten ist der Ausstieg direkt unterhalb der Römerbrücke (orogr. links steil zum Parkplatz hoch).

Exit on the orographic left immediately after the gorge: follow a forest trail past the small bridge and up to the parking lot. For the longer routes, the exit is directly below the Roman Bridge (on the orographic left, steeply up to the parking lot).
