Freeway A23 to exit Pontebba then on the SS13 briefly direction Pontebba. After crossing the Fella and the Rio degli Uccelli, turn right under the highway. Follow this road until you reach a large parking area next to the gravel bed of the Rio degli Uccelli.

From the parking lot head SW into the forest on a cross-country path, through a gate and between two weekend houses onto a road. At the next crossroads keep right and after the last house turn right onto path 521. Follow the path until it reaches the streambed of Rio degli Uccelli after long crossings, some of which are secured. Not all exposed passages are secured - do not walk in wet conditions.
