Von Nizza 54 km das Var-Tal auf der N 202 aufwärts in Richtung Digne. Dann rechts (nach Norden) ab auf die D 28 in das Vallée de Cians. Zuerst durch die Gorges de Cians geht es später in Serpentinen in die obere Schlucht. Etwa 17 km nach der Abzweigung kommt man durch zwei Tunnels an der "Petite-" und der "Grande Clue". Etwa 200 m nach einer roten Wand mit Inschrifttafeln (dahinter ein Trinkwasserbehälter) stellen wir ein Fahrzeug unmittelbar vor dem nächsten Tunnel ab (zwischen diesem und dem nächsten Tunnel überquert die Straße den Challandre).\nMit dem zweiten Fahrzeug (sofern vorhanden) fahren wir 2,2 km weiter. Hier beim Markierungspfosten "70" stellen wir es ab.
From Nice 54 km up the Var valley on the N 202 towards Digne. Then turn right (north) onto the D 28 into the Vallée de Cians. First through the Gorges de Cians and later in serpentines into the upper canyons. About 17 km after the turnoff, you pass through two tunnels at the "Petite-" and the "Grande Clue". About 200 m after a red wall with inscription plates (behind it a drinking water tank) we park a vehicle just before the next tunnel (between this and the next tunnel the road crosses the Challandre).\nWith the second vehicle (if available) we continue for 2.2 km. Here at the marker post "70" we park it.

Vom Markierungspfosten "70" (1250 m ü.NN) folgen wir dem Pfad, der zuerst in Serpentinen aufwärts führt, um dann am Hang entlang mit mäßiger Steigung südlich zu einem Col (= Sattel; 1460 m ü.NN) zu ziehen. Hier verlassen wir den Pfad und folgen einem anderen links hinunter zur Challandre. Einige hundert Meter können wir dem Bach abwärts folgen, ohne schon den Neoprenanzug anlegen zu müssen.
From the marker post "70" (1250 m a.s.l.) we follow the path that first goes up in serpentines and then moves south along the slope with a moderate gradient to a col (= saddle; 1460 m a.s.l.). Here we leave the path and follow another one on the left down to the Challandre. A few hundred meters we can follow the stream downhill without already having to put on the wetsuit.
