Von Genf auf der Autobahn A40 ("Autoroute Blanche") gut 30 km in Richtung Lyon. An der Ausfahrt "10" verlassen wir die A40 in Richtung Vouvray. Bei Ochiaz kommen wir auf die D 991 (Rue de la Fontaine). Wir folgen dieser Straße 8 km in südlicher Richtung und biegen dann links ab auf die D72 und kommen nach 2,8 km - bei einer Straßenverzweigung rechts abbiegend, Zuletzt über "unseren" Bach nach Surjoux. Um das untere Fahrzeug zu plazieren, fahren wir wieder zurück zur Abzweigung von der D72, hier in spitzen Winkel rechts und hinunter zur Rhone. Dort stößt man auf einen großen Parkplatz und Tafeln weisen den Weg zum "Pain du Sucre". Hier das untere Fahrzeug abstellen.

From Geneva, take the A40 highway ("Autoroute Blanche") for a good 30 km in the direction of Lyon. Leave the A40 at exit "10" in the direction of Vouvray. At Ochiaz we come to the D 991 (Rue de la Fontaine). We follow this road for 8 km in a southerly direction and then turn left onto the D72 and after 2.8 km - turning right at a road junction - we finally reach Surjoux via "our" stream. To park the lower vehicle, return to the junction with the D72, turn right here at an acute angle and descend to the Rhone. There you come to a large parking lot and signs point the way to the "Pain du Sucre". Park the lower vehicle here.

Am südlichen Ortsausgang von Surjoux folgen wir einer kleinen Straße in grundsätzlich westlicher Richtung. Sie quert ein kleines Waldstück, zieht dann in einer Rechts-/Links-Schleife durch ein Gehöft, wird zum Feldweg. Nach etwa 800m ab Ortsausgang Surjoux erreichen wir einen Hochspannungsmast (man könnte auch mit dem Auto bis hierhin fahren) und folgen von diesem einem Pfad in nördlicher Richtung bis zum Bach.

At the southern exit of Surjoux, we follow a small road in a basically westerly direction. It crosses a small piece of forest, then moves in a right/left loop through a farmstead, becomes a dirt road. After about 800m from the exit of Surjoux, we reach a high-voltage pylon (you could also drive to here by car) and follow a path from it in a northerly direction to the stream.

Längere Laufstrecken im überwiegend versinterten Bachbett sind nicht unangenehm. Andrerseits einige attraktive Passagen mit Sprungmöglichkeiten, vor allem aber auch der versinterte Schlusswasserfall.

Longer stretches in the mostly sintered streambed are not unpleasant. On the other hand, some attractive passages with possible jumps, especially the sintered final waterfall.

Nach dem Abseiler auf den "Pain du Sucre" im offenen Bachbett etwa 50 m weiter, dann rechts hinaus auf den Weg, der uns unter dem alten und neuen Eisenbahnviadukt hindurch zum Parkplatz bringt.

After the rappel on the "Pain du Sucre" continue in the open streambed for about 50 m, then turn right out onto the path that takes us under the old and new railroad viaduct to the parking lot.
